Ferment Culture

Ferment Culture It’s all about the culture. Using only thoughtful, organic, and high-quality ingredients, we craft fermented foods that are truly healthy for you and your gut.

At Ferment Culture, we believe true health begins with the right ingredients—and that starts with the culture of our food. We carefully source local, organic ingredients from regenerative farms to craft fermented foods that nourish your gut, body, and community. By using ingredients from healthy, nutrient-rich soils, we promote the growth of beneficial bacteria and compounds like probiotics, diges

tive enzymes, and organic acids. This not only enhances gut health but also creates vibrant, flavorful foods. Our commitment to local sourcing supports sustainable agriculture, regenerates soil health, and strengthens our local food systems—bringing you fresher, more nutrient-dense products that benefit you and the planet.

Introducing the man, the myth, the legend: James!

James brings a warm, easygoing energy to the team. He loves music, spending time in nature, and being with his family.

He's been an awesome addition to the crew and we're grateful for his insights and ideas.

You can find him primarily at the Loveland market, but he's been making appearances in Longmont and Larimer. Be sure to say hello when you see him at the booth!

Big news from the booth: Cilantro + Daikon Radish + Carrot is joining our regular seasonal lineup!!!

We don’t add recipes to the main stage very often. The last time we introduced a new staple was over a year ago. But after five small-batch runs, a lot of experimenting, and a lot of great feedback, this one earned its place.

This batch features beautiful daikon radish from Adam at plus cilantro from Dennis and the team at .

Daikon and cilantro are both shoulder-season crops here in Colorado, so this recipe will be around when the season allows. We’ll make it as much as we can, but it will still be a little limited.

It’s bright, crunchy, fresh, medium-spicy, and one we’re really proud of.

Coming to markets this weekend!

Incredibly grateful for the experiences that Miles gets to have and for folks like Adam at . He graciously let us come pick some Daikon Radish for a batch we're working on.

I didn't really know a lot about many veggies until we started working so closely with local farmers. Miles gets a whole different perspective. He's trying everything that we ferment (before and after).

All Meredith and I can do is expose him to all the world has to offer; whether it's a radish, the mountains, or a trip to the farmers markets surrounded by an incredible community. He's already cooler than the both of us, so it's already a win.

This biz started as an opportunity to see what Meredith and I could do, but is turning into Miles' little playground. Hopefully we make him proud!

Small Batch Alert: Easter Egg Radish + Lime + Coriander + Scorpion Pepper. This is definitely a spicy one 🥵

Dennis at had some cute lil radishes, so I figured why not juxtapose them with a gnarly pepper. It's bright, floral, citrusy, and it packs some heat! I'm imagining this on some tacos for sure.

It's been slowly fermenting in the fridge for about 6 weeks and it's ready for show time. We'll have about 7 to 8 jars of it at each market this weekend, so if you want to go on the flavor journey, get there early.

Meet Jenny, one of our newest team members. She is awesome and you’ll be seeing her at the Larimer, Lafayette, and Highlands markets this season.

Jenny is a recent Colorado transplant with roots in Michigan and Chicago. She also happens to be a total pro: she just graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BS in Fermentation Science.

She’s a big fan of the analytical side of food science and loves the lab work that goes into it. In her own time, her fermentation interests have been leaning toward the world of sourdough and baking lately.

When she isn't at the booth or diving into food chemistry, she stays busy outside hiking, birding, camping, or paddleboarding.

Come say hi to Jenny at the markets this weekend and ask her about the science behind your favorite jars! I learn something from her every day.

Small Batch Alert: Hakurei Turnip + Parsley + Lemon 🫡

I tend to make too many spicy small batches, so I wanted to give everyone a break with something bright and citrusy. It's fantastic on salads, tacos, and everything in between.

Thank you so much to for the stellar turnips and parsley. Their team pour their hearts into the farm and you can taste it. It's so important to support our local farms and keep food in the community.

It's an extremely small batch (I basically learned we need to be making more jars of the limited runs), but we'll have some at all our markets this weekend.

New and improved labels from 😍 made with love and care in Longmont.

Our labels are now made local! We heard about Jetpack through a lot of other businesses and once we met with them, we instantly knew they'd be our label supplier.

They're more beautiful than ever and more durable too, perfect for our jar return program. Boyd and his team absolutely crushed it. If you need stickers/labels and want the best of the best, check em' out!
