Meat Fact… Thursday😅
Intern Ellie here— started classes at OK State this week and totally forgot about content. But we’re back.
This part 3 of our series: The Life Cycle of Black Label Beef. This week, we’re talking about the feeding pens. While this can be a controversial topic for some, I hope this helps put your mind at ease. These guys are treated like kings! They have FREE CHOICE forage and grain at ALL TIMES! Their barn is clean, and dry and protects them from all the elements. They’re just unemployed bros, and we’re all jealous of their lifestyle😆

Meat Fact Monday: Weaning Calves!! This is part 2 of our series: the life cycle of Black Label beef. Weaning is beneficial for both cows and calves for many reasons. For the calves, it’s an important step in their development and transition towards becoming great beef. For the cows, it gives them some time to relax before their next baby comes. 🐮🍶🌾
