Some farms do more than grow food. They help grow community Jireh Family Farm is one of those special places.

Immanuel and Valarie Jarvis, the passionate co-founders of Jireh Family Farm, are dedicated to raising high-quality proteins with care, integrity, and a deep commitment to serving their community. Their work extends beyond the farm gate, creating opportunities for education, connection, and access to local food.

Join them for their 4th Annual Farm to Table Breakfast and enjoy a delicious buffet featuring farm-fresh eggs, crispy bacon, savory sausage, golden hashbrowns, sweet fried apples, and homemade sourdough biscuits, all sourced from their very own farm. Celebrate July 4th by getting breakfast at their farm!

Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. and tickets are $35 per person. Get the ticket link in their bio. Guests will also have the opportunity to gather in Jireh Family Farm’s new event space barn and experience the joy of sharing a meal right where it was grown.

Whether you’re taking a refreshing swim or casting a line, it’s the perfect summer escape. Reservations are recommended for quarry swimming, as spots often fill quickly. Fishing is also available for those looking to relax by the water.

🥛 June is National Dairy Month! 🐄

Did you know North Carolina’s dairy farms offer more than fresh milk and delicious cheese? They provide unforgettable experiences that connect visitors to the land, animals, and farm families that make it all possible.

📍 in Lincolnton, NC
Take a behind-the-scenes look at a working dairy farm with their weekday tours and field trips (April–October). Visitors can tour the milking parlor, pet calves, try their hand at a simulated milking cow, enjoy a scoop of chocolate ice cream, and spend time in the picnic and playground areas. Tours are available by reservation only and are perfect for families, schools, and groups looking to learn more about dairy farming.

Open Wednesday through Sunday, Looking Glass Creamery welcomes visitors year-round to enjoy handcrafted cheeses, preserves, and hard cider made right on the farm. Come hungry! Grilled cheese sandwiches and charcuterie boards are available, making it the perfect stop for a leisurely afternoon in the mountains while supporting local agriculture.

Located in Raleigh, Howling Cow offers educational tours Monday through Saturday that give visitors a chance to learn about dairy farming and the work happening at NC State’s dairy operation. 🌼 Head to the Carrboro Farmers’ Market / for June in Bloom, a celebration of flower season featuring limited-edition T-shirts, make-and-take art activities with Peel Gallery and Super G Print Lab, a floral scavenger hunt, raffle prizes, flower-inspired samples, vendor specials, live music, and much more.

💜 In Franklinton, spend the day at Two Dachshunds Lavender Farm/ for ‘Don’t Worry, Be Purple’from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This special annual event opens the fiber and lavender farm to visitors just as the lavender begins to bloom. Enjoy a relaxing day among the animals, take in the beautiful purple fields, and breathe in the soothing scent of fresh lavender.

🍦 Looking for a laid-back farm day? RambleRill Farm in Hillsborough is hosting its Farm Day on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy a free scoop of ice cream, sweets from Starfish Bakery’s brownie bar, a stroll through the woods, the Longleaf Forest School open house, Firefly Farm’s flower bar, herbal tea tastings from Kid Clover, and native plants from Crooked Creek Nursery. June is filling up with so many farmy events and we are here for if!! You don’t want to miss Farm Feast at . June 13 from 6-9p in Claremont, NC

🎶🌾Get ready for an unforgettable evening on the farm! True Cut Ranch welcomes guests for Farm Feast, a celebration of local agriculture, great food, and community.
Spend the evening exploring the ranch, meeting the animals, and even feeding them a few treats while taking in the beauty of the farm. The soundtrack for the night will be provided by the “explosive one man band,” Cameron Matthews, whose high-energy performance spans rock, soul, blues, funk, country, folk, reggae, and pop.

The feast itself will showcase the incredible flavors of our region, prepared by an outstanding lineup of local chefs including Ben Sullivan, Bart Weber, Zack Harkins, Rilke Witherstine, and Jeremy Salig.

Ingredients will be sourced from local farms including , Mai’s Farm, and many more!

We hope you’re enjoying a farmers’ market today! Remember, if you need help finding a market, go to our site and click ‘our farms’ and search farmers markets nearest you!

Can’t make it to the market today? There are many markets open on Sundays including ! Tomorrow, we will be teaming up with them to celebrate Blueberry Day! 🫐

That’s right, a whole day dedicated to the berry-tastic blueberry! Come and join us from 10-2 for all things blueberry including treats, blueberry themed candles and 3D images, and activities for kids and adults alike!

And while we are on the blueberry train, let’s give a shout out to some of the u-pick farms that are either open or opening soon.
