Every week we introduce you to the people who make Eastern Market feel like home. This time, we’re pulling up a stool at Zeff’s.

For decades, Zeff’s has been where the market day starts. Vendors, early shoppers, and Saturday regulars all find their way here for omelets, corned beef hash, and of course, a classic Detroit coney before heading out to the sheds.

It’s the kind of place where the coffee is hot, the counter is busy, and everybody feels like a regular by their second visit.

And you don’t have to wait for Saturday. Zeff’s is open throughout the week, so if you need an Eastern Market fix on a Tuesday afternoon, you know where to go.
