As you know, I never show my face on this page… because this has never been about me. It’s about the people, the places, and the stories along the ride not a “look at me” kind of thing.

But today’s different.

Today I celebrate my brother… one of my closest, a true best friend. A guy who’s seen me at my worst and at my best and stood there when I didn’t have a single person to lean on. That kind of loyalty doesn’t come around often.

Take a second today and congratulate my bestest brother.

Till we die.

It was a pleasure working with you, brother… every mile of it.

So today, we raise our glasses.

To Rich happy retirement. First official day of retirement… let’s go. You put in the time, you earned it, and now you’re free.

Love you, bro.

Here’s to the next chapter… more rides, more laughs, and making more memories the right way.

Happy Motorcycle Monday 🏍️

I’m spending my day doing the most important mission possible… hunting down my receipt so I can try to cash in on the weekend because I’m looking for a return on that one it went by way too fast..

Bike Night is off for tonight, but don’t think that slows anything down. The ladies are still rolling with the BOGO lobster roll deal 🦞🔥 you can find them out at the family-friendly, respectful venue keeping it solid as always.

So even without the bikes lined up tonight, the week is still starting off right good food, good people, and a reason to get back out there.

Let’s get this week rolling.

Bike week’s coming in hot, and riders are already dialing in those breakfast stops after ripping through Franconia Notch and this one’s a must.

Polly does not want a cracker Polly wants a pancake 🥞

Up in Sugar Hill, NH, just off the Notch, you’ll find Polly’s Pancake Parlor straight-up White Mountains tradition. Been slingin’ pancakes since the 1930s, started out as a little carriage shed tea room and grew into one of the most well known breakfast stops in New Hampshire. Family run, old school, and still doing it right with stone
ground batter and real NH maple syrup.

Right now Sugar Hill is lit up lupines are in full bloom, covering the hills in purples and pinks that this area is famous for. Hard to beat that view when you’re rolling in early morning, pipes cooled down, coffee on deck.

Sugar Hill itself is one of those quiet mountain towns with deep roots in early tourism simple roads, big views, no noise, just New England doing what it does best.

If you’re cutting through Franconia Notch during bike week, this is a no brainer stop. Kickstands down, fuel up, then back on the road.

Sunday’s ride had me rolling through Sugar Hill, NH, and as always, that area never misses. Kickstand went down at one of my favorite stops, and I also made a first time visit to Harmans Country Store.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brenda, the owner, and we talked a bit about the history of the place. You can feel it the second you walk in this isn’t just a store, it’s part of the fabric of the community. One of my favorite types of stops is a country store like this.

Harmans sits in a region where country stores have long been the heartbeat of small New Hampshire towns. Back in the 1800s and early 1900s, places like this were everything post stops, trading hubs for local farms, places to hear the news, pick up supplies, and stay connected when the mountains made travel tough. Sugar Hill itself has deep roots as a quiet farming and hillside community, built on resilience and self reliance.

That spirit is still alive in places like this.

Shook hands, shared some stories, and I genuinely fell in love with the place.

Right now the lupines are in full bloom all through the hills blanketing the fields in color. My nana’s favorite flower, and it always hits a little different seeing them this time of year.

Caught rain both ways on the ride too and that right there just intensifies the adventure. Makes every mile feel a little more alive, a little more earned.

I hit multiple historic landmarks, farm stands, farms, and restaurants along the way, taking it all in.

I grabbed some beautifully aged cheddar cheese to bring home worth every mile of the ride.

Support local businesses. Support local farms. Support local everything that keeps these towns alive.
Brenda keeps her page fresh and alive and points out the best spots to see the lupine fyi..

Sunday service rolled me into Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, and if you’ve never pointed your front wheel this way, you’re missing a piece of New England that still does things its own way.

Sugar Hill isn’t just another dot on the map it broke off from Lisbon and Franconia back in 1962, making it one of the youngest towns in the Granite State. But don’t let that fool you… the roots here run deep. This ridge has been drawing people in since the 1800s, when it became one of the White Mountains’ first summer resort destinations. Fresh air, big views, and a slower pace that hasn’t changed one bit.

Right now this place is showing off. The lupines are popping, the views stretch forever, and every mile getting here feels earned. No rush, no noise just throttle, wind, and a reminder of why we ride.

Didn’t stop much on the way up rolled through history, farms, and roadside spots that deserve respect more than a photo op. Sometimes the best move is to just keep it moving and take it all in.

Sunday Sermon coming in hot for anyone making that last minute push to Laconia Motorcycle Week…

If you’re heading into the Lakes Region on a whim, here’s the truth finding a place to stay this late is no easy task. And after you finish that lake loop ride, the last thing you want is to be chasing a room with no service… ask me how I know .

Do yourself a favor and look up Black Bear Tavern up in Colebrook, NH. It’s not a far putt from Laconia and makes a solid home base.

You’ve got everything you need there:

Cozy, no-BS lodging with true North Country feel
Tavern with cold drinks and solid food
Good people who take care of riders
Unreal riding all around you
RV sites on property, plus room to pitch a tent if you’re rolling in last minute

Run it up through Franconia Notch, then over through Dixville Notch throw your kickstand down here. The views on that ride are hard to beat.

I support this place, so bring nothing but respect with you.

I’ll say this they did me a solid. I’ve got an overdue post coming, because sometimes it takes a minute to put gratitude into words.

This is a place I’ll forever be grateful for, and that’s due to Michelle but more on that later, because she really came through for me.

That ride had me halfway to heaven and halfway to hell, and Michelle read me like a book. She helped me big time, and they took care of me when I was on the road and needed it most.

One more thing don’t bring any nonsense with you. Respect the place, respect the people, and ride it right.

Bottom line plan ahead if you can, but if you’re in a pinch, they’ve got you covered with a room or even a spot to pitch a tent last minute.
