Great day yesterday at my first nature class at !

I will be stopping by once a week to teach the next generation to love and respect nature.
The only way to do that is to expose them to it in a real and approachable way.

This week, we learned to use our senses. Senses are so important when out in nature. Sight, sound, smell, touch, and hearing play so many roles in being a human on the landscape.

We put different smelly plants in bags and let the kids smell and tell me what they smelled.

I brought in mushrooms so they could notice the differences in sight and touch.

We went on a little field trip to meet the trees right around us to notice the differences in a pine vs. A crabapple.

Can't wait to keep working with the kids. They will do far more than we can ever do if we start sharing knowledge now!

Summer foraging classes are almost here!

The mushrooms are starting to make themselves known, berries are still coming on strong,
and the plants and trees are thriving!

I have been foraging for most of my life since I was a kid in southern Ohio.

I want to take my chest of knowledge and pass it on to you in a fun and easy to understand way that, I hope, will put nature and our role in it, into perspective!

There classes are a 2 to 2.5 hour foraging walk, where we will discuss everything from ecology, animal, bug life, and most importantly, SUMMER FUNGUS.

On Saturdays, a wild food lunch is provided. I was a chef for 10 plus years in columbus and abroad, and I love to show you how to use these wild foods that I covet.

Preservation and cooking methods will all be covered.

Classes with lunch are 75
Classes without lunch are 60.

I want to make this knowledge to accessible to as many people as possible, which means kids are always free to attend.

I also do free kids classes upon request.

Private classes available as well.

Perfect for dates, parties, and anytime you are looking for something unique to experience.

Link in bio to learn more.

Can't wait to see you all out there!
Mush love!🙌🍄🌿
