I seriously couldn’t be more happy to start this venture! The recreational therapy program at the Fort Worth VA really took off and this is something that I truly believe in and I think it could really help a lot of veterans as horticulture helped me through my PTSD. Im beyond excited to start offering classes this summer.

Just got back from the nursery. We picked up gala, Granny Smith, honey crisp apples and an Asian pair to add to the farm. We have started the paperwork for the non profit. Getting close now just need to make sure all the I’s are dotted and T’s crossed.

I sure do hate when berry season is over. This was the first year we got apples well the squirrels got them all and left us with non. Sigh it was a good crop on the blackberries and good lord have they grown. Next year should insane! Imma have to do some research on raspberries the ones under the tree didn’t get enough light to really do anything and the ones in the pots out in the sun got to hot. Still looking for a good spot for them. Blueberries seems to be doing wonderfully probably doubled in size but first year no berries yet. All in all it’s been a good season.for the most part our season is over other than peaches. I still didn’t pull enough off but I will say they are much larger then last years.

Still pulling about a gallon a day. We really need to find someone or somewhere to out all these. Kinda surprised nobody has hit us up. But freezer they go I guess. Jams coming soon.

I’m excited for next years raspberries! We are picking about a half gallon to gallon of blackberries a day right now next year will be waaaaaaay more lol
