🍎💚 Appleknocker Pride is here! 💚🍎

As a teacher in Cobden, I wanted to create something that celebrates the place we call home.

This special simmer pot is filled with ingredients that each represent a piece of Southern Illinois:

🍎 Apples for our beautiful apple orchards
🍑 Peaches for the peach orchards that dot our countryside
🫐 Blueberries for Blueberry Hill
💜 Lavender inspired by the beautiful lavender fields nearby
🌼 Chamomile for the wildflowers that fill our fields
🍋 And, of course, a little lemon to brighten it all up—because if you know me, you know I couldn’t resist! 😊

Every ingredient was chosen with intention, making this more than just a simmer pot—it’s a little jar of Southern Illinois pride.

Fresh fruit, lots of dehydrating, and a whole lot of excitement as I prepare this year’s Summer Collection. Every ingredient is carefully dehydrated and packaged by hand to create the perfect summer scents. 🍑🍐🥒

It truly takes a village! 💚

I’ve been out of town for weeks, and thankfully, Savanna Gault-Johnson came to the rescue! I was only home for two days and managed to make a few jars before heading back out. Savanna picked them up, stocked the shelves, and made sure everything was ready to go.

After lots of testing, dehydrating, mixing, and second-guessing myself, I've finally chosen the three scents that will be part of Simply, Katie's Summer Collection:

I cannot wait to share these with you! Each scent was carefully chosen to bring a different piece of summer into your home.
