Tewksbury Firefighters Local 1647 This is the official page of Tewksbury Firefighters Local 1647. Our 58 members proudly serve the residents of Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

All posts and opinions are that of Local 1647 and do not represent that of the Town of Tewksbury. Local 1647 have prided themselves in offering the most professional and efficient services of anyone in the state. Local 1647 is a big part of the community, always looking for ways to give back whether it be thru financial donations or our members volunteering as coaches in sports programs or members

donating their time on various committees. Local 1647 is affiliated with the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), and Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts(PFFM).

Local 1647 Honor Guard, alongside our members, Chief, and Deputy Chief, were proud to march in Tewksbury’s Memorial Day parade yesterday.

We are honored to continue the tradition of showing up for our community, and we thank everyone who helped organize and support this event.

We take great pride in standing together to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

This was 1 of 4 vehicle fires that Unit 2 handled during their 24 hour shift. Three of those were on 495S, and one more off Route 133. They also provided an engine for a mutual aid structure fire in Wilmington.
