It is a pleasure to be featured by Talkin' Jersey and to have the story of Berlin Farmers Market shared with the community.
Our story began in 1940, when the Giberson family established Berlin Farmers Market as a livestock and produce auction. Located on Clementon Road in Berlin, New Jersey, the Market grew from its agricultural roots into a unique shopping destination filled with indoor stores and outdoor flea-market vendors. That history is why many longtime customers still lovingly refer to us as “the Auction.”
In 2015, Berlin Farmers Market entered a new chapter under new ownership. Since taking ownership, we have invested in extensive renovations and upgrades throughout the property, including improvements to the bathrooms, flooring, lighting and overall appearance of the Market. Our goal has been to preserve the traditions that generations of families love while creating a cleaner, brighter and more welcoming experience for our customers and vendors.
Over the decades, our selection has expanded far beyond farm goods. Visitors can enjoy the Amish Market, freshly baked treats, candy, furniture, clothing, jewelry, work boots, records and collectibles. The Market is also home to valuable specialty services, including our longtime shoe repair shop and locksmith. With so many independent, family-run businesses under one roof, there is truly something for everyone.
Outside, ever-changing tables filled with tools, antiques, collectibles and everyday treasures make every visit a little different.
Most importantly, Berlin Farmers Market has always been about the people and the memories created here. Generations of families have visited us to shop, eat, explore and support local businesses. From favorite foods and familiar storefronts to unexpected flea-market finds, each visit offers something special.
More than eight decades later, Berlin Farmers Market remains proudly family-owned and operated. We are grateful to our loyal customers, hardworking vendors and surrounding community for allowing us to continue this tradition. We look forward to welcoming future generations and providing a place where a simple shopping trip can still turn into an afternoon of wandering, discovering and making memories.

The memories are often tied to the food and the people.
A 2013 WHYY feature described longtime merchants serving the children and grandchildren of earlier customers, along with shoppers remembering childhood visits for sausages and warm apple c***r doughnuts.
Roasted nuts, records and family portraits were all part of the same outing.
