Tuesday evening at the Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District, taking in the natural beauty of Morris Reserve. It is a wonderful park to walk a path brimming with dragonflies, joggers, walkers, and the quiet of the forest and the Little Miami River.

If you drive past Clyo and Possum Run, that new construction you see isn’t exactly Sugarcreek, and it isn’t Bellbrook.

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞.

It’s a reminder of what happens when a community is told to settle for simple answers and cheap promises. WE have lived through that. WE have watched decisions made over our heads, and WE have lost more than most people will ever realize.

From Possum Run, to Costco, to Cornerstone Kroger, and every stretch in between, Centerville has benefited from choices that left our side of the line carrying the weight while they walk off with the gold.

So if Centerville wants to say, “thank goodness for your leadership — we couldn’t have done it without you,”
well… it’s the truth.

What WE have done to protect our community hasn’t worked. And meanwhile, both the city and the township stay locked into the same me‑me‑me song, never the WE that actually builds a future.

WE have a community full of bright, civic‑minded residents. In places where big things truly improve, leadership comes from the people — not from those who chase short‑term fixes and ignore long‑term consequences who only want to get through the day without thinking about tomorrow.

Bellbrook and Sugarcreek needs to get its act together and stop focusing on the easy stuff.

Greene county health department does this in Bellbrook (and other areas) they promote it as a healthy program and it is not.
Doug Tallamy is a well know speaker and has made presentations to many area community groups and is a big advocate for native gardens and conservation. He is right.
