My Great great grandmother brought her hand written Christmas pudding recipe from Scotland in the early 1800’s and it has passed down every generation since unchanged. I began making these about 10 years ago as gifts to homesick Expats and folks who grew up celebrating Christmas with this very traditional and delicious treat. We then started getting requests for them and now each year we produce several in various sizes and even a family recipe brandy cream to pour hot over the top. Like my great great Grandma we hand craft every one of these with the very finest 100% organic ingredients. We begin making them in late September ( they need to mature a couple of months before enjoying them). They come in a traditional English porcelain pudding bowl and decorated to be the center piece of the table. We delivered the last order for 2021 today and wanted to thank all our dear friends that ordered from us. From our family to yours Merry Christmas and blessings of the sean.

I can’t wait for winter when there is every excuse to whip up some delicious hearty soups. is such a versatile veg. Try this cauliflower and leek soup . We use a head of cauli medium chopped with core removed, any color, one spanish onion corse chopped, one potato corse chopped and two medium sized leeks washed and thinly sliced-whites and light green only. Toss the lot with some olive oil , sea salt, cumin, nutmeg and coriander and pinch of chilly powder. Place in oven on baking sheet for an hour on 375F until fork tender. Put it all in your blender with 2 cups of good veggie broth and give it a whiz until you reach the texture you want. Adjust seasoning to taste and add the juice of half a lemon. Place into a pot on stove and bring to a slow boil. Ladle into bowls and top with fresh parsley, gorgonzola crumbles (optional) and thin sliced green onions with a dash of fresh ground cracked pepper. This creamy savory soup is sure to tick the boxes . We love this with some warm or It’s inexpensive, nutritious and delicious.

Huevos Rancheros is a favorite weekender around our place. Here we use the firmer Spanish Chorizo rather than a Mexican Chorizo. Pan fried to release its aromatic oils and some crushed fresh garlic cloves, sliced fresh red Jalapeños Fresh , our home made fresh red salsa from the last of the seasons garden tomatoes 🍅 sweet peppers and onions. Home made corn tortillas make it but we use flakey at a pinch. Happy holidays and an incredible New Year to you. This will be your year!
