Returning to Auburn has brought back some of the simple joys I grew up with, like seeing lightning bugs light up the evenings. After 15 years in South Georgia where they’re hard to find, it’s been special to share this experience with my kids and watch them enjoy the same magic I did as a child. It’s a reminder of how meaningful the little things can be. It brings back memories of fishing off Westport Lake with my great aunt and great uncle, where there was always a sky full of lightning bugs. May you experience the little things today.
