Out in the garden before the rain starts. 🌧️🍅

Taking a little time to prune the tomato plants and secure the trellis before the weather rolls in. Gardening is a constant learning process, but a little maintenance today means healthier plants and a better harvest tomorrow.

The tomatoes are growing nicely, and I’m doing my best to keep everything standing tall through the summer storms. Mother Nature may bring the rain, but we’ll be ready for it!

One thing about homesteading—there’s always something to do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️🌱

There comes a time when you put down the tools, step away from the chores, and simply enjoy the blessings around you. We’re getting everything ready so we can sit back, relax, and enjoy this little piece of heaven God has entrusted to us. ☀️🙏

The land is peaceful, the water is clear, and the view is everything. Time to make memories with family, soak up some sunshine, and enjoy the fruits of our labor. ❤️🌿🏡

These fresh tomatoes are headed straight to the kitchen to make a delicious salad today. There is nothing quite like picking food right from your own garden and enjoying the rewards of your hard work.

Every tomato is a reminder that patience, faith, and a little dirt under your fingernails can produce something beautiful. ❤️

There is just something peaceful about walking through the garden and seeing the fruits of your labor. 🌱🍅🫑

From tiny seeds to fresh vegetables, every harvest is a reminder that hard work, patience, and a little faith go a long way. This garden has become one of my favorite places to slow down, breathe, and thank God for His many blessings.

The peppers are growing, the tomatoes are ripening, and my heart is full. ❤️

Homesteading isn’t always easy, but moments like these make it all worthwhile. Enjoying the peace, the sunshine, and the rewards of the work that’s been put in day by day.

A brand-new month is here, and I’m welcoming it with a grateful heart. 💚

June brings longer days, garden harvests, family gatherings, porch sitting, and the simple joys of homestead life. From watching things grow in the garden to making memories with the people I love most, this season reminds me to slow down and appreciate life’s blessings.

No matter what May brought, June is a fresh start—a new chapter filled with possibilities, growth, and God’s grace. 🌱🙏

🌧️🌳 Good morning from Taylorosa Homestead.

We woke up to strong storms rolling through Georgia last night. Trees are down, limbs and debris are scattered across the homestead, and there’s no sense in rushing to clean up yet because more storms are still on the way.

My first stop this morning was the garden. ❤️🌱 I was relieved to find that a tree had fallen nearby, but thankfully my plants appear to be okay. God is good!

There will be plenty of cleanup waiting for us when the weather finally settles, but that’s just part of country life. One thing I’ve learned is that storms may leave a mess, but they also remind us how blessed we are when the damage isn’t worse.

For now, we’re staying safe, saying our prayers, and letting Mother Nature finish what she’s doing.

Please keep everyone affected by these storms in your prayers. 🙏💚

The water is looking good, the sunshine is shining, and we’re getting everything ready for Memorial Day weekend. 🇺🇸❤️

Around here, the best days aren’t about fancy plans—they’re about family gathered together, good food on the table, laughter in the air, and making memories that last a lifetime.

This little slice of peace is where we’ll be soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the people we love most. ☀️🌿

🌿 Learning more and more about preserving our food right here on the homestead 🤍

This weekend has been a busy one!
I dehydrated some of our fresh eggs and turned them into powdered eggs since our chickens keep us stocked with plenty 🥚✨

I also dehydrated basil to make homemade seasoning and even made basil oil for cooking 🌱

And because I still have an abundance of tomatoes in the freezer from last year’s harvest 🍅, I’ll be making homemade sauces throughout the week.

Little by little I’m learning how to make the most of what we grow and raise here at Taylorosa Homestead… and honestly, I’m on a roll 😍🌿
