Donald Trump has said he does not want the Kurds to take part in a ground operation against Iran.

According to Trump, his main concern is their safety because he does not want Kurdish fighters to suffer heavy casualties.

He said the United States has maintained a good relationship with them, and even though they are willing to join the operation, he advised them not to.

Trump added that the goal is to avoid making the war more complicated than it already is.

President Yoweri Museveni has broken his silence on the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, calling on both nations to recognize each other and support a two-state solution as the most viable path to lasting peace in the Middle East.

Museveni emphasized that mutual recognition and the establishment of two independent states — Israel and Palestine — is the only sustainable way to resolve decades of instability and ongoing violence in the region

It has been a week since I last shared my thoughts here. Sometimes, silence is not absence, it is reflection. During this time, I have been listening, reading, and thinking deeply about the voices of our people and the direction of our nation.

The challenges facing South Sudan remain real and urgent. Our citizens continue to call for better services, fairness, accountability, and leadership that truly serves. These calls cannot be ignored.

Today, I return to continue this conversation with humility, openness, and a commitment to listen. Together, through constructive engagement, we can shape a future that reflects the hopes of all South Sudanese.

BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Abyei Town has welcomed a new bottled water brand, Abyei Life Water, recently opened and proudly owned by a son of the soil.

The initiative has been received with excitement by local residents, who see it as a real sign of development and progress. The company is already employing more than 50 people, creating jobs while helping to lower the cost of clean and safe drinking water in the area.

This project will also benefit nearby communities such as Twic Mayardit, Aweil, Abiemnhom, and parts of Unity State. People will no longer need to travel all the way to Wau or Juba just to buy bottled water. Instead, they can now access affordable, healthy bottled water closer to home in Abyei Town, saving time, transport costs, and effort.

Many residents see this as a powerful example of what local investment can do supporting livelihoods, improving access to clean water, and strengthening the local economy. 💧👏.

SAD NEWS: SSPDF Soldier Kills Community Chief in Gogrial West

A tragic incident occurred last evening in Gogrial West County, Warrap State, where a SSPDF soldier allegedly shot and killed Sultan Wath Lual Wath, the Executive Chief of Wunkuel Thii Boma.

The soldier, deployed to the area last year during communal tensions, was reportedly involved in the response to the recent killing of a local woman. When community members confronted the suspect at a market, a scuffle broke out, leading to the arrest of several people, including Sultan Wath.

While in custody, the chief was allegedly beaten. After his request for release was denied, he attempted to leave the detention area and was shot by the SSPDF soldier.

Authorities are yet issue an official statement as the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
