Constituency No. 9 - Aweil West County.
_[Comprising Marial Baai Constituency No. 25 and Majak Baai Constituency No. 26]_
Fellow Comrades, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I, Eng. Apuot Rejina Santo Ayang Deng, proud daughter of the late Gen. Santo Ayang Deng, a gallant freedom fighter, and daughter of the Akuak Ayat Community, do hereby officially declare my candidature for the National Legislative Assembly in the forthcoming General Elections scheduled for 22nd December 2026.
I stand before you as Apuot Santo - The Better Option, seeking your mandate to represent the great people of Ayat in its three sections.
WHY I AM CONTESTING:
Having lived among you for over 10 years, I have witnessed firsthand our collective struggles, our resilience, and our untapped potential. Our community deserves honest, accountable, and transformative leadership that delivers real economic opportunities. I am running to be your voice in Juba, to ensure our concerns are not just heard, but acted upon.
MY MANIFESTO - KEY PILLARS FOR CHANGE:
1. Education and Youth Empowerment:
As an Electrical Engineer, I understand that education is the foundation of development.
My Commitment: I will lobby and advocate for increased national budget allocation to rehabilitate our local school buildings and provide adequate learning materials.
Target: To secure at least 20 new technical and vocational training scholarships per Payam annually to equip our youth with employable skills.
2. Healthcare and Sanitation:
The health of our people is non-negotiable.
My Commitment: I will push for enhanced funding, consistent supply of essential medicines, and improved staff retention for our local health facilities.
Local Action: I will personally sponsor quarterly mobile health camps to reach hard-to-reach villages, with a special focus on upgrading maternity services and expanding access to clean and safe water in Ayat.
3. Infrastructure and Development:
Without roads, there is no development.
My Commitment: I will vigorously lobby the National Ministry of Roads and Bridges for the construction of safe, all-weather roads and permanent bridges connecting Marial Baai and Majak Baai, to boost trade, security, and unity.
4. Accountable Leadership and Open-Door Policy:
Leadership must be accessible to the people.
My Commitment: I will institutionalize a participatory leadership model by holding monthly town-hall meetings in every ward to listen to your concerns, report back on parliamentary proceedings, and co-create solutions with you.
I am not a stranger to your challenges. I am one of you, and together, we can build the Ayat we all deserve.
I humbly ask for your support, your prayers, and your vote. Stand with me for a Better Change!
Yours in service!
Eng. Hon. Rejina Apuot Santo Ayang Deng
Proud Daughter of Akuak Ayat Community
Candidate for National Legislative Assembly - Constituency No. 9.
