Happy Anniversary, my love ! ❤️

What a blessing to have welcomed this milestone on a lovely Sunday in the stillness of God’s presence and the richness of the faith that has seen us through these many seasons of life.

I am so grateful for this life we have built. I love you, Duke!

Thank you, Edmun and Anne Liu for this lovely afternoon and to Fr. Joe Quilongquilong for showing us the way of faith.❤️🙏🏼

Continuing with our efforts to reach out to tourism stakeholders, I visited the National Museum of the Philippines and the Intramuros Administration.

To manifest our firm commitment to maximizing the tourism potential of our country’s heritage sites, and in great appreciation for all the work that has been put in to the promotion and preservation of such integral components of our history as a nation, I committed to both the National Museum and Intramuros the Department of Tourism - Philippines’ support for promotion and further development, and to include these sites in our tourism circuits in connection with other sites in Manila and the country.

I would like to thank the National Museum of the Philippines Board of Trustees and Officials, Chairperson Luli A. Bernas and all Trustees with special mention to our Ninong and fellow Cebuano Andoni Aboitiz, Director General Jeremy Barns, and all members of the Intramuros Administration.

Attending the first State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos, Jr. as Tourism Secretary, I am proud to wear the work of Cebuano designer Jun Escario.

Embellished with antique brooches and pearls and a sheath made of tulle and lace, the white silk terno reflects our desire to cast a wide net of collaboration to all stakeholders across the Philippines as represented in the pearls, in line with the effort to achieve the President’s vision of an inclusive, sustainable, and collaborative approach to developing the tourism industry as a major contributor to our nation’s post-pandemic recovery.

For all that we have lost,
for every little (or big) thing that will never be the same again,
to mourn, to long for, to love and love again, Cebu, the Beatles could very well have written this song for you:
(on my mind on repeat since the morning after December 16)

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

5 months na si Baby X.❤️🙏🏼

You were born into a world of such uncertainty and strife.

All I can do as your Mama is to remind you of what I know for sure:
you are LOVED,
LIFE goes on,
and there is HOPE.💚🌱

Thank you, Sr. Sto. Niño for our little miracle.🙏🏼

LILOAN
SITUATION REPORT NO. 11
December 27

Today and I had a meeting with VECO COO Raul Lucero and Aboitiz Power VP Jokin Aboitiz who gave the commitment that on or before December 31, the entire stretch of the National Highway from Yati to Cotcot will be energized. Today, a few areas and residences along or in the vicinity of the Highway have already been turned on. We thank the management and linemen of VECO and other power companies across the country who have been working double time on this.

Since the Highway forms the backbone of distribution of power from the VECO Substation in Consolacion, this stretch of road is the first to be energized.

Lateral areas and Barangays crisscrossing the Highway, including the North Coastal Road area, will follow. Per VECO’s initial assessment of our Barangays excluding the mountains, around 40% of their poles and lines have been damaged. Therefore 100% energization will prove to be a challenge. Nonetheless, VECO projects energization of 80% of their entire customer base in Metro Cebu by January 10 and 100% by January 31.

Thank you to all who sent in photos of problematic poles in your areas. I have submitted these to VECO, to our DRRM, LIPSEMO, and MENRO. Coordinated clearing in these areas and other interior parts of Liloan will be done as our LGU will do everything we can to help VECO do its job of repairing and energizing the lines in Liloan as effectively as possible.

Updates:

1. RICE

As of today, we have given 30,270 packs of 5 kilos of RICE for households and families across Liloan’s 14 Barangays. That’s 73% of all the households in Liloan. Distribution will continue tomorrow.

2. FREE WATER

A. Distribution of free water via our firetrucks and water tankers continued in Barangay Yati, Catarman, Calero, Cotcot, San Vicente, and in the mountains in Tabla and San Roque. This will continue in other Barangays tomorrow.

Each family can bring THREE (3) 5-gallon water containers.
