Founded in 2007, Hapag Kainan is the product of a long-held dream shared by the Antonio family, who bring together diverse skills, a passion for food, and a deep commitment to community hospitality. Maria Katrina Antonio- Baisa, who manages front-of-house operations and customer relations; and Mrs. Jennifer Geli-Antonio, who handles finances, supply chain, and strategic planning. Each partner brings a unique set of strengths from years of experience in the food, hospitality, and business industries. Hapag Kainan offers a rotating seasonal menu focused on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, comfort food with modern twists, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel like part of the family. Our concept was inspired by Sunday family dinners and home-cooked meals passed down through generations, and we aim to reflect that authenticity and care in every dish we serve. With a design inspired by the traditional bahay kubo, the restaurant features al fresco and garden dining surrounded by the natural beauty of local farmland. As a family-run business, our values thru community, integrity, and quality are at the core of everything we do. We believe in treating our team like family, supporting local producers, and giving back to our neighborhood through partnerships and events.
