📣Something a little special in the cabinet this week, and it won’t last long.

Huw’s background is supplying some of the country’s very best restaurants, lodges and private chefs with beef modelled on the Spanish ‘Vaca Vieja’, beef from older animals, with an incredibly rich depth of flavour.

Animals like this however, don’t come along very often.

There are very few pure-blood Wagyu in New Zealand. Most of the Wagyu here are a cross with dairy cattle.

However, this Wagyu comes from an eight year old cow, retired from breeding, who has lived out her days on rich Waikato grass. Classic Wagyu marbling, age-developed flavour, dry aged for 21 days.

Spain meets Japan, right here in Taupo. This is a connoisseur's eating experience!

We’ve been on a quest to find a true, local artisan sourdough baker for ages. Well, mission accomplished!

Gineke from Home Baked, just down the road in Motuopa is producing some beautiful breads and pastries. They are small batch and beautifully clean, with no nasty preservatives or additives.

We are delighted to now be stocking her delicious sourdough range in:

Anzac long weekend is here, and the weather is looking crisp and clear! Whether it’s a BBQ, a slow cook, or an easy ready meal, we’ve got you sorted. To our locals and everyone visiting Taupō, here’s when we’re open:
