We’ve pulled in at Waitangi Seafoods on the Chatham Islands — and let’s just say, the eskies are about to be very, very happy.

Free-flow frozen blue cod.
Beautiful hapuka.
Pottles of kina.
Minced pāua.

Straight from these pristine waters to the counter — it doesn’t get fresher than this.

There’s something pretty special about watching the group choose their island haul, chatting about how they’ll cook it (or who’s sharing with who 😉). This is proper, authentic Chathams living.
