A NEW CHAPTER FOR AMSTERDAM TEA FESTIVAL ✨

After our first edition in 2026, we kept returning to one thought:

tea is much bigger than most people realize.

It is not only something we drink.
It is a culture, a craft, a landscape, a ritual, a conversation, a memory, a way of hosting, a way of slowing down, and a way of connecting people across countries and generations.

Last year, Amsterdam Tea Festival welcomed 1,877 visitors, 80+ vendors, 40 workshops, cultural partners, performances, tastings, ceramics, food, and many beautiful encounters around tea.

For us, that first edition was proof that there is space in the Netherlands for a festival that treats tea with more depth.

A space where visitors can taste and learn.
Where makers can share the story behind their work.
Where tea brands, ceramic artists, food creators, workshop hosts, cultural partners, and performers can come together in one environment.
Where tea is not presented as a background element, but as the centre of the experience.

Now we are preparing the second edition.

On 30 January 2027, Amsterdam Tea Festival returns at Kromhouthal, Amsterdam Noord, from 10:00 to 19:00.

This year, we are growing into a larger venue, with more space for exhibitors, workshops, performances, tastings, food, ceramics, teaware, cultural moments, and areas where visitors can pause, sit, meet, and take everything in.

Our intention is simple: to give specialty tea, and everything around it, a stronger stage.

To show how diverse the tea world is.
To support the people who work with care, knowledge, and tradition.
To create a place where tea culture in the Netherlands and Europe can grow with quality, visibility, and meaning.

The website is now open for the next steps:

Tickets are available for visitors.
Applications are open for vendors.
Workshop hosts can also apply.

You can find everything through:

Thank you for being part of this growing tea movement.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam Tea Festival 2027. 🍵🥺

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN — AMSTERDAM TEA FESTIVAL 2027 ✨

On 30 January 2027, we return for our second edition at Kromhouthal, Amsterdam Noord, from 10:00 to 19:00.

After our first edition, we took time to build not only a larger festival, but a more thoughtful space for tea culture to be seen, tasted, shared, and understood.
The Festival was created because we believe tea deserves more visibility.

Not only as a drink, but as a world of people, places, techniques, objects, flavours, traditions, and ideas. A world where tea brands, ceramic artists, food makers, educators, cultural partners, designers, performers, and curious visitors can come together in one place.

For exhibitors, we want the festival to be more than just a table.
We want visitors to taste, ask questions, understand your story, and meet the people behind the product. We want the festival to support your visibility, your network, your sales, and your place in the growing tea community.
This year, registration happens through our new website and personal exhibitor account.

Tea Rave — where tea, music, and culture meet.

Last year, we introduced Tea Rave as part of the Amsterdam Tea Festival: an evening where tea moved beyond the traditional setting and became part of sound, movement, atmosphere, and shared experience.

For the 2027 edition, Tea Rave will return in a more intimate format — smaller in scale, but still built around the same idea: showing that tea can be contemporary, social, experimental, and alive.

Around the world, the way people gather is changing. Sober parties, morning raves, listening sessions, alcohol-free nightlife, and sensory-led events are becoming more visible — not because people no longer want to go out, but because many are looking for new ways to celebrate with more intention, presence, and connection.

Tea fits naturally into this shift.

It is warm, grounding, energising, ritualistic, and deeply social. In a rave or listening setting, tea creates a different rhythm: a space where people can dance, listen, pause, talk, and reconnect.

Tea Rave is not about replacing nightlife. It is about expanding what nightlife can be.

A place where tea takes the stage — through music, movement, culture, and community.

Big thanks to all our great partners at the tea rave 🙏🏻🤍

More about the 2027 edition coming soon.🍵

As we close the chapter on our first edition, we simply want to say: thank you.

Thank you to every visitor, exhibitor, workshop host, artist, volunteer, partner, sponsor, location, and tea lover who became part of the Amsterdam Tea Festival. What started as an idea grew into something much bigger than we could have imagined — a gathering of people connected by curiosity, craftsmanship, culture, and a shared love for tea.

For us, the festival has never been just about tea itself. It is about the people behind it. The farmers, artisans, ceramicists, educators, brands, and communities that make this world so incredibly rich and diverse.

Our ambition is to continue building something that Europe has not seen before: a truly international tea festival that celebrates tea in all its forms. A place where cultures meet, where traditions are shared, where new ideas emerge, and where visitors can discover just how vast, creative, and inspiring the world of tea can be.

We believe tea deserves a bigger stage. Not only in the Netherlands, but across Europe and beyond.

This first edition was only the beginning.

As we are now preparing the next chapter, we are more motivated than ever to keep growing, improving, and creating an even better experience year after year. We want to continue supporting tea culture, showcasing extraordinary makers and producers, and creating a platform where the global tea community can come together.

We are incredibly excited for what comes next.

And we hope you are too.

More about the 2027 edition will be shared in our next posts. 🍃

Until then, thank you for being part of the journey.

With gratitude,

Amsterdam Tea Festival
