LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE THE WOMAN, YOU WILL RETURN THE MONEY?

In a remarkable display of integrity, a Nigerian woman identified as Aisha Isah Yelwa, has returned N330 million mistakenly credited to her bank account.

Mrs. Yelwa, a petty trader based in Lapai, Niger State, revealed that she discovered the unusual balance in her First Bank account at about 3:49pm on Monday, December 29, 2025.

According to her, the discovery came days after she had lodged complaints with the bank over repeated debits linked to loans she previously obtained to sustain her business.

She explained that while checking her account to confirm whether the debiting issue had been resolved, she was shocked to see an amount she had never handled in her life.

She noted that there was no credit alert, no transaction narration, and no identifiable source of the funds.

β€œIn order to be sure it wasn’t a display error, I made a transaction of N1 million from the account, and there was still no credit alert. That was when I became more confused and worried,".

Mrs. Yelwa said she remained silent until Tuesday morning, when she visited the Lapai branch of First Bank to formally report the anomaly.

She said the branch manager commended her honesty after confirming that the funds were the result of a system error and immediately took steps to reverse the transaction.

Despite her action, Mrs. Yelwa disclosed that she faced criticism from some members of the public who questioned her decision to return the money, rather than praising her integrity.

To protect herself legally, she said she went to the bank with a lawyer to ensure proper documentation of the process.

According to her, the bank assured her that she bore no liability and would only be contacted if further clarification was required.

Reflecting on the incident, Mrs. Yelwa said she felt fulfilled doing the right thing, describing the act as a matter of integrity and concern for her children’s future.

More than 50 Band!!ts k!lled & de$troyed by NAF in Zamfara state.

The Nigerian Air Force has recorded a major breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to curb in$ecurity in Zamfara State, following a carefully planned air operation that di$mantled a key production site used by cr!m!nal groups.

The mission was carried out after detailed and reliable intelligence pointed to locations being used to coordinate att@cks on nearby communities and $ecurity personnel.

According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian A!r F0rce, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the 0peration was execvted under the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma, Sector 2, and marked a significant operational gain in the sustained campaign to restore peace in the region.

He disclosed that two well-coordinated air missions were conducted on December 28, 2025, targeting strategic locations at Turba Hill and a known camp linked to Kachalla Dogo Sule, both within Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Ejodame explained that the action followed weeks of !ntelligence gathering from multiple sources. $urveillance activities had identified heavy movement and a zinc-roofed structure believed to play a central role in coordinating !llicit activities at Turba Hill.

The operation is seen as a strong signal of the Air Force’s commitment to weakening cr!m!nal networks and improving $afety for residents across the region.

Woman kills husband for marrying second wife in Kogi state

A woman, Favour Odoba, has killed her husband, Momo Jimoh Jamiu, also known as Abdul-Kadir Nagazi, in Okene, Kogi State, over claims that he married a second wife.

Sources said the couple had been married for about nine years without a child and that trouble began after the man married another woman who gave birth about two months ago.

A relative of the deceased, identified simply as Onono, said, β€œFavour was married to him for nine years without a child. After he married another woman who recently gave birth, Favour invited him to spend the night with her. She later returned his dead body to a hospital.”
It was gathered that the suspect dumped the co**se at the hospital and fled. Medical sources were said to have raised suspicion of food poisoning and injections involving harmful substances after tests were conducted, although the exact cause of death was yet to be established.

The spokesperson of the command, CSP William Aya, said, β€œInvestigation is ongoing to determine the actual cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it. The woman, said to be the wife of the deceased, is currently on the run. Efforts are being intensified to arrest her to assist with the investigation's.

β€œU.S. Troops Struck Two Terrorists Enclaves In Bauni Forest, Only Debris Landed In Jabo, Sokoto; Offa In Kwara” – Info. Minister

The Federal Government has cleared the air on the coordinated operations between Nigeria and the US in the war against terrorism.

There have been a lot of concerns over the operation, with some critics saying the mission was unsuccessful as only civilian locations were hit with minimal impact.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) had questioned Nigeria’s actual role in the collaboration and demanded clarifications on operational control, casualties, and specific information about the number and identity of actual terrorists that were killed in the operation.

The party cautioned against confusing collaboration with what it called β€œmyopic surrender,” and expressed concern over the government’s handling of the information surrounding the operation.

But in a statement issued on Friday, Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information, shed more light on the operation, revealing that the real locations of the drones were two major ISIS enclaves.

β€œThe Federal Government of Nigeria in close coordination with the Government of the United States of America, has successfully conducted precision strike operations against two major Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves located within the Bauni forest axis of Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State.”

β€œIntelligence confirmed that these locations were being used as assembly and staging grounds by foreign ISIS elements infiltrating Nigeria from the Sahel region, in collaboration with local affiliates, to plan and execute large-scale terrorist attacks within Nigerian territory.

β€œThe precision strike operations were executed between 00:12 hours and 01:30 hours on Friday, 26 December, 2025, following explicit approval by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

β€œThe operation was carried out under established command and control structures, with the full involvement of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and under the supervision of the Honourable Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.

β€œThe strikes were launched from maritime platforms domiciled in the Gulf of Guinea, after extensive intelligence gathering, operational planning, and reconnaissance.

β€œA total of 16 GPS-guided precision munitions were deployed using MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial platforms, successfully neutralising the targeted ISIS elements attempting to pe*****te Nigeria from the Sahel corridor.

β€œDuring the course of the operation, debris from expended munitions fell in Jabo, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, and in Offa, Kwara State, near the premises of a hotel. No civilian casualties were recorded in either location, and relevant authorities promptly secured the affected areas.”

The Minister said Nigeria remains determined to confront, degrade, and eliminate terrorist threats, particularly those posed by transnational extremist networks seeking to undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.

β€œNigeria remains fully aligned with its strategic partners and Friends of Nigeria in executing coordinated actions aimed at ensuring lasting peace, border security, and regional stability.”

β€œThe Federal Government assures all Nigerians that it remains firmly in control of the national security architecture and is fully committed to the protection of lives and property.

β€œCitizens are urged to remain calm and vigilant as decisive actions continue against all terrorist groups threatening the nation."

Bandits are now under real pressure as the military, backed decisively by the Minister of Defence, takes the fight directly into their enclaves.

For once, there are no sweet words and no double talk. Classifying them as terrorists changes the rules of engagement and sends a clear signal: this is no longer a negotiation problem, it is a serious security threat.

Credit to General Christopher Musa and President Bola Tinubu for making that call.

"I am not unaware that I have often been a controversial figure. I have been accused of lack of nationalism and political awareness because I considered that independence must wait until a country has the resources to support and make a success of independence. I have been accused of conservatism because I believe in retaining all that is good in our old traditions and customs and refusing to copy all aspects of other alien civilizations have been accused of many things, but the views of others have never made me deviate from the path which I am certain is the one which will benefit my people and country. I have always based my actions on my inward convictions, on my conscience and on the dictates of my religion"

29/12/2025

Tensions in the Middle East have reached a dangerous breaking point as Iran issues a chilling warning of a full-scale war against Israel, the United States, and European powers. Iran’s leadership claims that a major attack could happen at any moment, with joint military
forces preparing for a decisive strike.

Diplomatic channels are collapsing, backdoor talks are shutting down, and the possibility of a massive regional conflict is now closer than ever.

According to high-level statements, Iran believes a coordinated plan is underway involving direct military action, internal destabilization, and regime-change operations. Iran has warned that any attack on its territory will be met with an unprecedented response, targeting military bases, strategic assets, and key interests across the region. The involvement of allies and proxy forces could rapidly expand this conflict beyond borders.

With rising military alerts, intelligence leaks, and global powers taking sides, the world may be standing on the edge of a historic confrontation.
