Today, we found ourselves at the Nigerian Army Headquarters, and it reminded me again of the heavy sacrifices our soldiers make every single day. Walking through the barracks with Verydarkblackman, seeing the faces of young men and women who constantly put their lives on the line, was both emotional and inspiring. These are people who carry the weight of our nation’s safety on their shoulders.
One thing became very clear — our military needs stronger support. Not just words, not promises, but real empowerment. They need modern ammunition, upgraded equipment, proper welfare, and financial funding that truly matches the level of danger they confront daily. Nigeria cannot win the battle against insecurity if those defending us are under-equipped and under-supported.
We met officers who are doing their absolute best with the little they have, and yet their spirit remains unbroken. That alone tells you the strength of the Nigerian soldier. But courage without tools is a heavy burden. It is time for the government to thoroughly strengthen the military so that they can confront kidnappers, terrorists, and bandits with full capacity.
With the new Minister of Defence now in office, we sincerely hope for a fresh direction — a leadership that will prioritize security as the heartbeat of the nation. A leadership that understands that lives are being lost every day, families are being displaced, and communities are living in fear. We hope to see real transformation, real action, and real investment in the Nigerian armed forces.
Nigeria is tired of endless condolences. We need results. We need safety. We need a government that will stand firmly behind the military, not just in speeches but in meaningful action.
Today’s experience renewed my determination to keep speaking, keep advocating, and keep demanding better for our people. Nigeria must rise again, and it begins with securing our land. 🇳🇬✊🏽
ALUTA CONTINUA. Security for all of us Nigerians.
