I found ₦50,000 inside a book I bought from a roadside seller in Lagos from a d£∆d son.– A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions after sharing her experience; after she purchased a book by the roadside in Lagos

At first, I thought it was a mistake or maybe a test.

‎The book looked old, as if it had been sitting there for years. No name, no note just the money tucked neatly between the P∆ges.

‎For a few minutes, I actually considered keeping it. ‎Then something didn’t sit right. ‎So, the next day, I went back to the S£ller and told him what I had fouπd.

‎He went silent. ‎Then he started laughing not the happy kind. ‎He said, “That book belonged to my son.”

‎Turns out, his son had been saving that money inside the book before he passed ∆way the previous year. The father didn’t even realise it was there when he sold it.

‎The moment I handed it back, his eyes filled with T£ars. ‎He kept saying, “You don’t understand, this is the last thing he left behind.” ‎He tried to give me some of the money, but I R£fused.

The problem with we Nigerians is that we don’t do proper research and we don’t ask questions.

Nigeria is a very funny place, so actual boxing is a professional sport, as in it is done by professionals are specialize in this sport. They train hard, spend almost all their time on this and almost get no attention for doing it.

Then come some celebrities, who are not even boxers at all, they do huge promotions, place huge amounts as reward then they do the boxing thing. They didn’t even bother to train, they just went full amateur.

See Carter Efe and Portable throwing hands like 2 amateur transgender women fighting over a man, it was not about strategy but about clout but the winner went home with deals and 50 million naira, it was so popular everywhere.

Imagine that 2 celebrities could main event boxing in Nogeria where actual boxers may not have achieved anything really. In Nigeria, everything is for clout, not necessarily for the profession. No actual boxing by professional boxers on Nigeria have gathered this much publicity or support and engagement.

This is the reason why talent cant thrive in Nigeria, we too love clout. Naija na joke 🤣🤣🤣🤗
