“Marry me.”
Lina stared at the man sitting across from her.
She almost laughed.
“You don't even know me.”
“I know enough.”
The man pushed a document across the table.
MARRIAGE AGREEMENT — 12 MONTHS.
Lina's eyes widened.
“You're asking me to marry you for one year?”
“Yes.”
“And what do I get?”
He calmly named an amount that made her heart stop.
It was enough to pay her mother's hospital bills—and clear every debt her family had accumulated.
She looked at him carefully.
“What is the catch?”
His expression suddenly changed.
“You must never fall in love with me.”
Lina swallowed.
“That's easy.”
She signed.
But she didn't notice the faint smile on his lips.
Because there was something he had not told her.
He hadn't chosen her by accident.
He had been searching for her for ten years.
And now that he had finally found her…
he had no intention of letting her go.
