Good evening everyone.

Tomorrow is Eggstein Farms Market Day, and we will have Broiler Day-Old Chicks (DOC) available for farmers who want to start or restock their poultry.

To ensure proper planning, all farmers are encouraged to book their chicks ahead of time.

📌 Available Birds
• Healthy Broiler Day-Old Chicks (DOC)
• Strong and active chicks from quality hatchery stock

💰 Price Range
• ₦1,200 – ₦1,400 per chick (depending on the hatchery, actual price will be posted on the WhatsApp platform before 10am tomorrow)

⚠️ BEFORE BOOKING YOUR CHICKS
Kindly ensure the following preparations are ready before collection:

1️⃣ Brooder space ready – clean and disinfected.
2️⃣ Heat source available (charcoal pot, bulb, or gas brooder).
3️⃣ Clean water and feeders already set up.
4️⃣ Glucose and vitamins ready to give chicks on arrival.
5️⃣ Book early so your chicks can be reserved.

During this period, we:
Recorded a loss of three birds from Week One due to excess heat from the heat source and explained what went wrong
Removed the carton bedding placed on the wire mesh and discussed why it was necessary
Administered anticoccidial drugs for 5 days to prevent coccidiosis
Gave the first Gumboro vaccine on Day 7
Administered the first Lasota vaccine on Day 14
This video also shares practical tips and lessons every poultry farmer especially beginners can learn about heat management, hygiene, vaccination schedules, and disease prevention.
