TOPIC: CONSCIOUSNESS FOR A SUCCESSFUL DESTINY

SCRIPTURE: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…. Romans 12 1-2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The realities in a person’s life are anchored on their mentality.

Both the Scripture and life experiences confirm that mentality is the mother of reality. Proverbs 23:7 says, As he thinketh in his heart, so is he…. The realities in a person’s life are anchored on their mentality. So, if you are not excited about your current reality or experiences in life, change your mentality, change your character.

Now, seeing that your mentality affects your reality, it is crucial to maintain the right mentality.

So, the question is, how does a person engage his mind to succeed in this world and in the world to come, and not end in regrets?

Maintain God consciousness
This involves existing with the consciousness that we are dealing with a God that is real and alive (Hebrews 11:6).

Beloved, your thought is as audible as your voice to God. Your secret is as exposed to God as your daylight action. No matter where you are hiding, you cannot hide it from God. Nobody may see you committing that sin, but God is watching you. So, God consciousness helps us to order our actions aright.

Maintain seed consciousness
This implies that life is a seed. Genesis 8:22 says, While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease

In Judges 9:1-57, Abimelech sowed a very dangerous seed in his quest for power and reaped an unimaginable harvest at the end.

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GOD, THE WORD OF LIFE.

SCRIPTURE: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Word investment is life investment.

The Word of God is life. Our anchor Scripture and several others confirm it. Many recorded testimonies from our church services also confirmed that the Word of God is the Word of life. The Word of God that we keep in our heart supplies us life. No wonder, Proverbs 4:22 says, …for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. So, to drink Word is to drink life, and to be starved of Word is to be starved of life.

Proverbs 6:20-22 even makes it more drastic: My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

That is, you keep the Word in the heart, then it begins to keep you while you are asleep. And most times, when a person is asleep, he is more vulnerable, but God is saying that the Word inside you will take care of you in your unconscious state while you are asleep. So, Word investment is life investment.

Beloved, keep the Word in your heart. Let specific verses in the scripture be the basis of your confidence in God for preservation. You don’t need to rack your brain to answer anyone who asks you what makes you think you cannot die before your time.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF FAITH AND POSITIVE MINDSET.

SCRIPTURE: And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:30

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Carry a mentality of authority and audacity, not of obscurity and timidity.

The Scripture makes it clear that faith is an asset as far as the Christian journey through life is concerned. No wonder the whole of Christianity is called The Faith (Act 6:7).

In Scripture, covenant people like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Caleb, Joshua and David functioned with a different kind of mindset or mentality. They knew that what they carried was superior to earthly possessions; they didn’t function like beggars and cowards (Genesis 14:14, 23; Genesis 47:10; 2 Samuel 24:24). They operated with a kind of authority that made rulers on the earth tremble. That is the mindset or mentality of God’s people, His covenant people.

In our anchor Scripture, Caleb spoke positively with faith, courage and confidence about the Promised Land while the rest of the spies painted a picture of fear, gloom, destruction and extermination (Numbers 13:30-33).

One of our pastors testified some time ago. He was posted to one of our branches in the Southern part of Nigeria and a female witchdoctor camouflaging to be coordinating a prayer house became angry with him and with the landlord who gave us the place for church planting. This was because the church was planted near her “Prayer house” and that would obviously spoil her work.

One day, the woman threatened the pastor saying, “They will either carry you out of this place in a coffin or as a mad man.” The word that came out of that evil priestess was so demonic that the pastor became afraid on the spot. TOPIC: THE INGREDIENTS OF FAITH.

SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Understanding His Will and Purpose on any issue will impart confidence in faith to handle the issue.

It has been confirmed that every product is made up of raw materials or ingredients. Every product or output is made up of a combination of inputs. If you plan to have a product, you must be prepared to assemble the necessary ingredients or raw materials. If you are going to have an output, you need a combination of inputs. Every success is a function of secrets.

All truths are parallel. If faith is a product, then it is also made up of ingredients or raw materials. If faith is the desired outcome, then there are required inputs to be put together to make it happen.

In today’s study, we will explore the ingredients or raw materials that make up Bible faith.

1. The Knowledge of God (Hebrews 11:6).
The knowledge of God is a vital ingredient of faith. Knowing God is a platform or basis for faith. To know God is to believe in Him. You can’t believe in whom you don’t know. To know God is to trust Him.

2. The Knowledge (or Revelation) of God's Word (Romans 10:8). The Word of God is the Word of faith. The Scripture makes it clear in Romans 10:17 that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

The Word of God communicates faith and faith communicates life. To be connected to the Word is to be connected to faith.

3. The knowledge or Understanding of the Purpose and Will of God.
In any area you understand what God wants to do, in that area you can exercise an unusual audacity of faith. 1John 5:14 says And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
