*Omole Congratulates ECN Director-General on CIISM Distinguished Energy Leadership Award and Fellowship Induction*
*Prince Ade Omole*, speaking in Abuja, Nigeria, has congratulated the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), *Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, DFCISM , CEng, MIMechE*, on receiving the Distinguished Energy Leadership Excellence Award from the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) and on being inducted as a Fellow of the Institute.
Omole described the two honours, presented at the ECN headquarters by a CIISM delegation led by its Registrar, *Dr Adelanke Peter Oyintoke*, as a well-deserved reward for strong leadership, dedication, and visible impact in Nigeria’s energy sector.
He praised the ECN Director-General for using the occasion to speak on the Commission’s Renewed Hope Renewable Energy Transition Programmes and for clearly explaining the importance of the National Energy Master Plan in securing Nigeria’s energy future, promoting sustainability, and supporting economic growth.
Omole noted that the Energy Commission of Nigeria board is chaired by *His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR*, and said Nigeria is blessed to have a Director-General who is boldly and diligently implementing the President’s vision for the energy sector, guided by professionalism and a strong sense of duty.
According to Omole, the recognition reflects not only past achievements but also the growing confidence among professional bodies in the Director-General’s ability to drive reforms aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“This honour speaks to hard work, innovation, and genuine commitment to national development. It also reminds us that true leadership is about responsibility, impact, and the constant push to do more for the country,” Omole said.
He added that the steady progress and positive direction of the Energy Commission of Nigeria are among the clear national achievements that the Renewed Hope Global Tour, endorsed by the Presidency, continues to proudly showcase and promote on the global stage during its ongoing international engagements.
He further noted that energy transition remains one of the major topics for discussion at the upcoming Renewed Hope Global Summit, convened as a side event of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 on 23rd January 2026, affirming Nigeria’s growing relevance in global conversations on sustainable energy, reform, and future-focused development.
He expressed confidence that the award would further motivate the ECN Director-General to intensify efforts on energy transition, clear policies, and sustainable power solutions that will benefit Nigerians.
Omole also commended CIISM for recognising excellence and reaffirmed support for initiatives that strengthen institutions and move Nigeria forward.
