Here is the legendary story of Sonny & Jason—Port Charles' most iconic friendship spanning 30 years:

*The Mafia Heyday* For over two decades, the duo ruled Port Charles. Sonny was the brains and the boss; Jason was the enforcer—always loyal, never questioning orders. They lived by a single principle: Family comes first. Despite numerous stints in prison and being presumed dead, Jason always returned to Sonny’s side.

*Fractures and Returns* Their bond was tested time and again—strained by Carly, by Sonny’s struggles with bipolar disorder, and by Jason’s desire for a normal life with Sam. Yet, whenever Port Charles faced danger, they always stood shoulder to shoulder once more.

*2026 – The End of an Era?* After 30 years, the story has changed. Sonny, now a grandfather, wants to retire from the mob for the sake of his grandchildren. Meanwhile, Jason—having returned from the dead—faces a choice: remain loyal and guard Sonny’s empire, or allow his best friend to finally live a peaceful life as a devoted grandfather. This is my opinion. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Michael set up a corporation for the sole purpose on buying the piers that Drew and Sonny wanted so badly. Then turn around have a big party at the Metro Court for the big reveal of the new owner and invite everyone especially Drew and Sonny with Diane by Michael side. As Michael in front of Drew returns the piers to it's original owner Sonny Corinthos. The green eye monster Drew would go ballistic but there is nothing he could do. Now that would be a good zinger with a bit of payback against Drew Cain.
