Francien Rivers is such a great and creative writer , I love how she waves the scripture and relatable every day life experience in one's faith work with the Lord.
The first book of hers I read was “Redeeming Love”. I was so guled to the end.This was about Hosea and the pr******te.
I have just finished “Her daughter’s dream” and realized that alot.
First off, communication is very key in this our life. Four generations misunderstood themselves. They truly genuinely loved themselves. They cared, they looked out for themselves. But every act of love and care was misunderstood. Oma, Rossie, caronley, May flower dawn. It was Mary flower dawn that broke the walls.
Dear husband you are weak you are tired but you keep mute, things are hard, but you wouldn't talk, now you make suggestions or give instructions and they look selfish. Of course they would. Because you won't share what's going on.
Dear wife, now you are taking it all out on your spouse, children, colleagues at work or even your workers.
Friends in relationships, I think he doesn't love me again brewing, this lady no reason me again flying around, I think chidi is avoiding me now because he has made it, so like this now, Amaka, no dey pick my calls again,when was the last time you had a genuine talk with such fellow? When last did you let your buddies know that you saw their text and that sincerely you had nothing to give, how often do you tell your family that you loved them and that they meant everything good thing to you? Now, I am not talking about entitlement. I am talking about healthy relationships. Because sometimes people wouldn't talk, most times they want to but they do not know how to start the conversation. But in all talk!
Next I saw how real patterns are! Yes, they all had beautiful marriages, but grandparents were way closer to their grandchildren instead of parents being closer.(Do you understand?) The desire to serve in the army was also another pattern.
I also saw how each woman walked with God. Finally a part I got, the joy of journaling. I have a very similar experience of journaling my experiences what I did and why, testimonies, my walk with Jesus, the parts of scripture that ministered to me and the depth of Joy I have going through them.
But honestly these amazing white folks love to eat! Wooosh! Anyways I love how my imagination was just painting every environment and activity.
For me this focuses on communication and forgiveness.
