Kenya’s economy is projected to grow by 5.6% in 2025, outpacing earlier government forecasts, as the country strengthens international partnerships and boosts investment in infrastructure. A newly signed yen-denominated loan agreement with Japan aims to support key development projects, including renewable energy, transport, and digital innovation. Experts say the deal will not only ease fiscal pressure but also enhance Kenya’s competitiveness in the region. The government remains optimistic that continued macroeconomic stability, improved exports, and private sector confidence will sustain the growth momentum despite global financial uncertainties.

Kenya’s tech scene is evolving at pace: major strides in 5G deployment and AI-driven data-centre build-outs are transforming the way urban services operate, while the regulatory landscape tightens with the recent passage of the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, positioning Kenya as a fintech hub. But on the flip side, the country’s digital-finance backbone was tested last night when M‑Shwari—the popular savings/loan mobile service from Safaricom PLC/NCBA Bank—experienced a major outage affecting deposits and withdrawals.

🇰🇪 WADA Moves Kenya to “Watch List” After Anti-Doping Progress

Kenya has shown progress in cleaning up its athletics reputation! The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has officially moved Kenya from non-compliance to its “watch list” — a sign that reforms by the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) are starting to pay off.

However, the country still faces close scrutiny and must fully implement reforms to avoid future penalties or exclusion from international events.

This is a positive step — but the race for transparency and accountability in Kenyan sports isn’t over yet. 🏃‍♂️💪
🇰🇪 Kenya’s making strides in the fight against doping!
WADA has moved us from full non-compliance to the watch list — a big step forward for sports governance.
Progress made, but the journey’s not done 💪🏾
