A letter to the Tall Man! Aka Goliath!
To the Tall Man,going by the brand name “Goliath”
Now,dear Goliath, I’m genuinely happy for your rise to fame…However, it may have come.
Brands are now seeking you out,and that’s a significant achievement.
However, there's something you must understand: when the dust settles, brands will often move on to the next big thing.
What you need to do!
📌Get a Manager:
Find someone who can turn this publicity into a sustainable,money-making business—not just pocket change.
Fame can be fleeting, and without proper management,it can slip through your fingers especially if not well managed.
They also throw you to the foray unknowingly. You will be having a lot if attention with no good money for sustainance.
📌 Be Selective with Brand Partnerships: Know your worth.
Not every brand that comes knocking is the right fit. Align yourself with brands that share your values and that will help elevate your image, not dilute it. Be strategic in your collaborations, focusing on quality over quantity.
Often, when fame strikes without prior preparation, people tend to get swept away by it.
They might post photos with brands for small fees, not realizing their true value or how to negotiate for it.
Remember, brands are economically driven and will go for the easiest, cheapest options if they can.
📌Strategic Pricing:
Pricing should reflect your image and the fact that these photos will be used commercially for a long time.Negotiate well and ensure you’re not undervaluing yourself.
📌PR Management:
Control your narrative.Don’t say yes to everything and everyone—doing so can dilute your brand and make you lose your worth.
Your promotions should last no less than three months, especially if you’re an ambassador. Brands have a tendency to treat figures like “kila kitu enterprises”—guard against that.
📌 Stay Authentic:
In the rush of fame, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are.Remember what made you unique in the first place, and stay true to that.
Your's.
