What are you actually buying when you buy honey? 🍯
Labels like "Raw," "Organic," and "Unprocessed" do something good—they tell a story that honey shouldn't be messed with. But those words only tell you what is not in the jar. They don't tell you which forest flowered, which season it was, or whose hands kept the bees.
Pure is not the same as "from somewhere." A jar can pass every purity lab test and still come from nowhere you can name.
Industrial honey separates the jar from the place. It creates consistency by erasing the season, and it lowers the price by removing the beekeeper’s margin. For the 125+ farmers we work with across Sikkim, the pressure is real—navigating shrinking forage and unpredictable flowering for a market that usually just buys by the kilo, grades by color, and blends on arrival.
At ApiCare, we believe honey is a record of a place. The future of honey must be single-origin, seasonally honest, forest-dependent, and priced to keep bees alive next year.
Instead of selling generic "Himalayan honey," we bring you one village, one forest, and one season. From Zitlang in Pakyong to Kewzing in South Sikkim—the exact place is named on the jar. Every jar carries a code that opens the record to the exact village, season, and beekeeper.
Proof, not promise.
