Black Rice (Karuppu Kavuni) is rich in fiber.
When you drink it as porridge (kanji), it gets digested quickly and may raise blood sugar faster.
But when you eat it thick (like koozh or as a meal), the fiber slows down digestion.
This helps in better blood sugar control, especially for diabetes patients.
So for diabetics –
👉 Don’t drink it thin.
👉 Eat it thick.
