🤝 GALLICOOP Plc. and Aufwind Schmack Első Biogáz Ltd. (ASEB), a member of the MOL Group, have successfully implemented a unique and innovative green energy development project through a strategic partnership. The aim of the investment was to enable renewable electricity generated at ASEB’s biogas-powered plant to be used directly at GALLICOOP’s production site, thereby reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and minimizing environmental impact. ♻️
🌿 A key environmental achievement of the project is that, together with the company’s existing solar power capacity, 85% of GALLICOOP’s total energy consumption now comes from renewable, green energy sources. This marks a significant step forward in reducing the company’s carbon footprint, improving energy efficiency, and advancing sustainable circular economy practices. 🌍♻️☀️
🏗️ The project was completed following nearly one year of preparation, permitting, and construction work, and it is the first of its kind in Hungary to establish such an operating model. The system consists of two biogas-powered gas engines, each with a capacity of 1,170 kW, providing a total electricity generation capacity of 2,340 kW. ⚙️⚡
📈 In addition to enhancing the security and predictability of the company’s energy supply, the development also delivers substantial economic benefits, generating significant annual savings in electricity costs. 💰⚡
