Father’s Day is next month, and we’re doing things a bit different this year – no set menu, just blackboard specials alongside our usual extensive menu 😋
The Mixed Grill is the kind of plate that arrives at the next table and makes everyone reconsider what they’ve ordered. It’s got rump steak, bacon chop, chicken thigh, black pudding and kidney, chunky chips, mushroom, tomato and chimichurri sauce.
There’s also Monkfish with Black Dahl, olive oil and crispy onions for those who want something a little bit more refined but no less satisfying.
Then, there’s the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger, with bacon, jam, lettuce, tomato and mayo, served on a Plattsville Bakery bun with fries and gherkin slaw. The kitchen team are currently considering coating the chicken in crushed Frazzles, and nobody has talked them out of it yet. Watch this space 👀
And if you still have room, finish your meal strong with a Guinness Chocolate Brownie and Whisky Salted Caramel Sauce.
Across the weekend, we’re also running a breakfast special that dad is sure to love - a 4oz rump steak with two fried eggs, and sautéed potatoes for £16.
