This one means a lot to us đ
When we started Wild Pantry, we wanted to build a food business with nature in mind.
That thinking has followed us from our first batches right through to today. From the ingredients we buy, to choosing local when the seasons allow. But not only that, Fermenting naturally with very little energy, packing everything in glass rather than plastic and thinking carefully about how our food gets from us to you.
Weâre not perfect though, weâre still just two people figuring things out, learning and trying to make better choices as we grow.
So finding out that Wild Pantry is one of just four finalists for the Sustainability Award at The Guide Liverpool Heroes 2026 was a pretty special moment.
Especially when we think back to where we started just over a year ago.
Now we need your help.
The award is decided by public vote and weâd absolutely love to bring this one home.
If youâve bought a jar, tried our Water Kefir, visited us at a market, recommended us to someone or simply followed our journey, please cast your vote for Wild Pantry.
Youâll find the voting link in our bio.
Thank you for being part of this with us!

For us, it starts with a pretty simple question:
How can we make food thatâs good for your gut, while making better choices about how it gets there?
From what goes into our jars to how they reach you, that question shapes a lot of the choices we make.
It starts with organic wherever we can.
Farming without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, with practices that support soil health and biodiversity.
And when we can buy closer to home, we do.
For much of the year, 87% of the ingredients in our PowerKraut are grown within just 5km of where we ferment it, and with ImmuniKraut is is 77%.
Fewer food miles and proper local food.
It costs us a lot more, but itâs always glass.
Every bottle of Water Kefir and every jar of ferments goes into glass with aluminium caps.
Glass can be reused again and again, and recycled without losing the quality of the material.
It also means more than 12,000 bottles and jars of Wild Pantry ferments have gone out without using plastic bottles or jars.
For us, thatâs wort
