Hi Killearn! 👋

Firstly, thank you so much for your patience, it really is appreciated. As you can see, the refit is well underway, and we’re working hard to deliver the store Killearn deserves.

We can now confirm that newspapers are back in stock. We weren’t able to sort this before opening the pop-up store, but you can once again get your daily dose of bad news 😂.

McGhee’s rolls will also be arriving shortly, so Alex can get his morning bacon butty – don’t worry Alex, we didn’t forget you! 🥓

Big News, Killearn! Your Co-op is getting a makeover!
Hello everyone, Stuart here with some incredibly exciting news to kick off 2026!

The Co-op has officially signed off on a complete store refit starting this January. We’re talking a total transformation: a fresh new layout, handy self-serve tills, and, the part we’re most excited about, brand new chiller cabinets that promise to stay perfectly chilled! Basically, Killearn is getting the "new" store it truly deserves.

To make this magic happen, we’ll need to change how we operate for a few weeks. Here is the plan:

The Kick-off: We’ll be closed for a few days beginning January 7th while our estates team gets everything prepped.

The "Essentials" Phase: From Tuesday, January 13th, we’ll be open for 4 weeks till the 3rd of February with a limited range. Don't worry, we’ll have all the must haves ready for you, including bread, bananas, and (of course!) wine.

The Big Transformation: After those 4 weeks, we’ll close for 3 weeks for the heavy lifting, new floors, ceilings, and all the "behind the scenes" electrics.

The Grand reopening is scheduled for Thursday the 26th of February!

While we’re working...
Our colleagues at the Balfron store are ready and waiting for you! They’ll be fully stocked to handle the extra shopping, and you’ll even see some of our familiar Killearn faces over there to welcome you.

On a personal note, our whole team is so touched that the Co-op has recogniesd the incredible loyalty of our local community and members. We can't wait to welcome you into a space that feels brand new.

Alarm panel fixed and we are open!!!

UPDATE
We're have a fault in the fire alarm panel, which means we need to close until an engineer resets it. We're hoping to be back open at 1pm but we'll update you soon.
