☀️ This beautiful sunshine has got us feeling very excited about the sunflowers already. It won’t be long before the fields are glowing gold again, and we’ve been busy thinking about how to make this year’s experience even more special for everyone.

🍓We’re exploring the idea of adding a decking area right in the middle of the sunflower field — a peaceful little spot for picnics, photos, and taking in the views.

🧘 We’re also wondering whether this space could host a few extra experiences throughout the season, such as:

• Yoga classes among the blooms
• Flower‑arranging workshops
• Sound baths for a calming, immersive moment in nature

🚜Our pumpkin seeds are going in the ground this week and will be beginning their 100‑day journey to become the bright, bumpy beauties you’ll pick this October.

🌱From Seed to Sprout — tiny shoots appear in the first week
🌱Vines Stretch Out — pumpkins grow on long, leafy vines
🌼Beautiful Yellow Flowers — every pumpkin starts as a bright golden flower
🎃Pumpkins Form & Grow — swelling, colouring and hardening through summer

🌼Pumpkin flowers are big, bright yellow blooms that open in the morning
🎃Pumpkins grow on long trailing vines, not upright plants
✨ One seed can grow 1-12 pumpkins, depending on the variety and size

🌱 A brand‑new year begins at Sandy Bottom Farm! 🌱
We’re kicking things off with muddy boots, big plans, and the first seeds going into the ground this month as planting gets underway.

🌻 Sunflower & Wildflower PYO returns this August (dates TBC)
We’re planting thousands of stems to create our biggest, brightest fields yet — perfect for family days out, photos, and armfuls of colour.

🎃 Pumpkin Picking is back this October
From tiny tots to giant whoppers, we’re growing a patch full of autumn favourites ready for another brilliant season.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for a year full of colour, fresh air and memories at the farm.

🎃 Pumpkins 2025 over and out 🎃

👻 What an amazing pumpkin season we’ve had - thank you SO much to our lovely customers new and old!

✨We really appreciate your continued support and love seeing people return year after year to our patch it means so much to us!

🐑 Before we plough remaining pumpkins back into the soil for enrichment we want to offer anyone who may want pumpkins for animal food or soup kitchens etc to please contact us to arrange collecting.
