⚠️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER ⚠️

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted high winds, we have had to make the difficult decision to CANCEL BOTH our daytime pumpkin picking and tonight’s Over 16s Spook Night at Sandy Bottom Farm. 🎃💨

🎟️ For anyone who has booked tickets, you will have been emailed - everyone with NIGHT TIME booking you have been refunded.

🎟️ Anyone with daytime tickets please use your tickets on any other day that we are open - from Saturday 24th all the way through to the 31st.
If you would like to be refunded please email [email protected]

Refunds will take 5-10 days to show in your bank.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support. We are truly sorry for any disappointment and appreciate your patience.

🎃🧡 THE PUMPKIN FUN ISN’T OVER YET! 🧡🎃

We’ve still got plenty of pumpkin magic left at Sandy Bottom Farm, and we’d absolutely LOVE to see you over our next open days!

🍂👻 Saturday 24th - Saturday 31st

After a few recent setbacks, including the damage to our pumpkins and having to cancel our much-anticipated first Over 16s Spook Night due to the weather, we’d be lying if we said we hadn’t felt a little deflated. 💔

BUT… we’re picking ourselves back up, staying positive and looking forward to making the rest of our pumpkin season as fantastic as possible! 🧡🎃

THERE ARE STILL THOUSANDS OF PUMPKINS WAITING TO BE PICKED! 🎃 From tiny pumpkins to giant pumpkins, and every colour, shape and variety in between, there’s still plenty to explore, pick and enjoy!

🎃 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER 🎃

We are extremely saddened to announce that, unfortunately, we have had to cancel both our Friday daytime pumpkin picking and our Over 16s Spook Night this Friday.

This has not been an easy decision, and we are absolutely gutted. 💔 We have put so much time, effort and love into preparing for our first Over 16s night event, and we were so excited to welcome you all.

However, the weather forecast is showing heavy rain all day Friday and Friday night and the wind at the patch is due to reach a level where we simply cannot guarantee everyone’s safety.

The safety of our customers and staff will always come first, and we feel this is the only responsible decision to make.

🎟️ OVER 16s SPOOK NIGHT
Everyone who booked tickets for the night event will automatically be issued a refund.

🎃 FRIDAY DAYTIME PUMPKIN PICKING
If you have booked for Friday daytime, you can either receive a refund or use your tickets on any other day we are open, from Saturday 24th October through to Saturday 31st October.

We are truly sorry to everyone who was looking forward to joining us, especially those who were excited for our very first Spook Night. We really appreciate your understanding and support, and we hope to welcome you back to the patch very soon. 🧡

🎃 WE ARE GENUINELY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET 😔

We’re really sad to have to write a post like this, but after discovering people smashing more pumpkins at the patch, we feel we need to say something.

We simply cannot understand how anyone could think it’s acceptable to deliberately smash pumpkins, particularly at a family attraction. What makes it even more disappointing is that this behaviour wasn’t just coming from children, but adults too.

When challenged, rather than apologising, the response was that there wasn’t a sign saying not to. 🤯

Does that mean you would walk into Asda and smash the fruit and vegetables because there wasn’t a sign telling you not to? Surely, we shouldn’t need signs explaining that deliberately destroying things that don’t belong to you is unacceptable?

Sadly, it’s not just pumpkins. We’ve also had displays damaged and our skeletons pulled apart. 💔

We work incredibly hard to create a fun, family-friendly day out. Behind the scenes, there are huge amounts of time, effort and money spent growing pumpkins, preparing the patch and creating displays for everyone to enjoy. Once a pumpkin is smashed, it can no longer be sold, meaning our hard work and money are wasted.

🚫 PLEASE RESPECT OUR PATCH

Anyone seen deliberately dropping or smashing pumpkins, or damaging displays, will be asked to pay for the damaged produce where appropriate and leave the site. Please also keep an eye on your children’s behaviour.

❤️ Finally, a huge thank you to the majority of our wonderful visitors who return year after year, support our farm and treat the patch with respect. You’re the reason we love doing what we do, and we’re so grateful for the happy memories you create here.

We’re sorry to have to share such a negative post, but this has genuinely upset us. Please help us keep Sandy Bottom Farm a magical, family-friendly place for everyone to enjoy. 🎃🧡
