Steve from Chester Market Fishmongers introduced us to the Silver Hake, and we’re not sure we’d want to come face-to-face with this one in the dark. 😳
Fresh from the west coast of Scotland, Steve showed us how he prepares it right here at the market, ready for customers to take home.
Scary to look at… but definitely not scary to eat. 🎃

Come and take a look at Pastry Pédaleur newest menu item the Chester Market Tart.
Inspired by what’s available right here at Chester Market, the tart uses seasonal ingredients from around the market to create something a little different.
And it won’t always be the same! The Chester Market Tart will change throughout the year to make the most of what’s in season, so make sure you don’t miss out on the latest one 👀

We've got award winners at Chester Market! 🏆🎉

Both Pastry Pédaleur and Geoff Hughes Family Butcher scooped top place at the Chester BID Customer Service Awards 2026!

Huge congratulations both. Very well deserved!

We knew this would be a fun one 😂 we asked our traders some of the standout requests they've had over the years and they did not disappoint with the answers.

Sam Joseph has hot chocolates on offer and trust us, you’re going to want to try them. 😍
We went for the House Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and the Philippines Hot Chocolate… and both looked unreal. There is also a White Hot Chocolate available and an Iced Salted Caramel Chocolate. All available for take away also!
The only question is, which one are you trying first? 👀

Thank you to the pupils from St David's College in Llandudno for bringing their performance of We Will Rock You to Chester Market last week. A Thursday lunchtime in the market is already a vibe, but a live performance from a local school really tops it off! 🎤

11/10/2026

Would you have guessed correctly? 👀
But in all seriousness, thank you to everyone who walks through our doors every week!
You could be coming for your morning coffee, a bite to eat, meeting up with friends, watching a performance, or just having a wander around the market, we love seeing you here.
What brings you to the market? ❤️
