After months of moving hives out of the garden, cleaning up, and finally reclaiming a bit of normality… the bees have apparently filed an official complaint and returned anyway 🐝😂

New swarm arrived today like:
“Sorry sir, we believe this property still belongs to us.”

I don’t keep bees anymore…
The bees keep me.

So… we finally removed all of the beehives from the garden. Peace, quiet, normal family life restored… or so we thought 🐝😂

Today a swarm turned up and moved straight back in like:
“Nice try mate, we live here now.”

At this point I’m convinced the bees have my address saved in BeeSatNav.

🐝 Another one bites the dust…

Swarm successfully marched into a hive instead of somebody’s chimney 😅🏡

The girls are now safely settling into their new home and hopefully saving one homeowner from a slightly more “buzzing” surprise later on.

Swarm season is definitely in full swing! 🍯🐝

🐝 Swarming season is in full swing!

One minute it’s quiet… the next, thousands of bees take to the air in an incredible natural spectacle. This is how honeybee colonies reproduce sending out a new queen and part of the hive to find a new home.

For beekeepers, it’s one of the busiest (and most exciting!) times of the year. Managing swarms, catching them safely, and making sure both old and new colonies thrive takes skill, timing, and a lot of patience.

💛 If you spot a swarm don’t panic! Bees in a swarm are usually calm and focused on finding a new home.

📩 Get in touch if you need advice or a swarm safely removed.

What about honey and lemon?
A warm homemade mixture of honey and lemon can have just the same soothing effect for dry coughs as many over-the-counter options.

A Cochrane review, external – an independent review of evidence - suggested that for children over one year with coughs and colds, the use of honey and lemon could "be of some benefit," adds Prof Smith.

What's the best way to deal with a cough and is lemon and honey as effective as medicine?
