You’d think there’d be vacation pictures, maybe a hobby or two. Nah…

Instead, it’s basically a smorgasbord of meat in every form imaginable.

Tomahawk steak, charcuterie, bacon, marinaded pork, brisket—you get the idea.

One of my favourite things about running The Butcher is being able to fill our shelves with products made by people who care as much about quality as we do.

We’re proud to carry local BC brands that are packed with flavour and made the right way. Gladstone Sauce has become a customer favourite, especially their Mariner Hot Sauce. It’s fantastic on burgers, wings, and pretty much anything coming off the BBQ this summer.

We’re also excited to carry Golden Ears Cheesecrafters | Artisan Cheese from Maple Ridge. Their artisan cheeses are incredible and make the perfect addition to a charcuterie board, burger night, or snack plate.

And then there are the Primal Sisters . They’ve been in the shop for years and continue to be one of our best-selling snacks. If you haven’t tried the White Cheddar flavour yet, you’re missing out.

Of course, we couldn’t talk about local products without mentioning a few of our own. We make our own BBQ sauces, spice blends, and we’ve recently added our new Fish Fry Batter to the lineup.

At The Butcher, we believe in supporting local makers, local farmers, and local businesses whenever we can. Great food starts with great ingredients—and we’re proud to bring some of BC’s best together under one roof.

A big thank you to BC’s Best Butcher for putting on such a fantastic competition in Kamloops.

This was Kai’s first time competing, and what an experience it was. The level of talent, craftsmanship, and passion for the trade on display was incredible. It was an honour to stand alongside some of the best butchers from across British Columbia, learn from one another, and celebrate the craft we all care so deeply about.

While we didn’t bring home the top spot this year, we gained something just as valuable—experience, inspiration, and a renewed drive to keep sharpening our skills.

Congratulations to all of the winners and competitors.
Thank you to everyone who cheered Kai on and supported him along the way.
