Spryfield Farmers Market

Spryfield Farmers Market The Spryfield Farmers Market is a thriving community gathering space that celebrates connections. We're open Sundays, 12-3pm, at 205 Herring Cove Road.

We launched the Spryfield & District Community Market on 15 May 2016. Our vendors offer fresh foods, fish (as available) and local crafts, made right here in our communities. Our farmers gather from 4 counties, to bring you Nova Scotia's best produce and directly from their farms to you. If you have questions, don't hesitate to get in touch. We monitor messages through the week.

Seventeen days.

That is how long until we open the doors at our new home — Chebucto Connections, 531 Herring Cove Road.

In the meantime, we have two more Sundays at the Guardian lot, 205 Herring Cove Road. Come find us there this week and next, noon to 3 pm. Same vendors. Same local food. Just a bit of anticipation in the air.

The Spryfield Farmers Market is moving in July!
Starting Sunday, July 5, you will find us at Chebucto Connections, 531 Herring Cove Road.
Until then, we are still at the Guardian lot, 205 Herring Cove Road, this Sunday and again on June 28.
July 5 we move up the road to the new spot.
The new space gives us more room indoors and out! If you want to a part of our community we have built together over ten years check out opportunities here: https://www.spryfieldmarket.ca/get-involved.

The rest stays the same.

Sunday, noon to 3 pm. Same vendors. Same local food. Same faces who are happy to see yours. Just a new address.

Something is growing at the Spryfield Farmers Market.
We are in our 10th season, and the community we have built together keeps getting bigger. More vendors. More neighbours. More local food finding its way to more tables.
We have some big news on the way. We are not quite ready to share it yet, but we are excited. Really excited.
In the meantime, come find us this Sunday at 205 Herring Cove Road, noon to 3 pm. The vendors are ready. The summer is here. And we think you're going to love what comes next.
Stay tuned. Something good is coming.

Local kids came to opening day with a plan. They had their NS Loyal vouchers and were ready to shop. They left with cookies and handmade stuffies.

That is what this program looks like when it works.

We put together a short post about the NS Loyal School Voucher Program, what it looked like on our first Sunday of the season, and the people we hope to see come September — including newcomers to Nova Scotia and students heading into college or university in the fall.

If you have a voucher, you are welcome here. If you know someone who does, pass this along.

No matter how small or big your purchase, you're contributing to the local economy. 🐝 Maybe your weekly purchases help a small business pay for their website, purchase some new equipment, or help them pay down a loan at the end of the year. It could cover an emergency vet bill, or pay for an hour of their employee's time at the market. It all adds up! ⬆📈

Buying local imperfectly allows more of us to build a stronger community, together.
