While dad doesn't yet have grandkids, he did find an excellent use for a carriage he found in a roadside free pile by adapting our flame weeder unit to fit onto it. With some hose clamps and creativity, instead of carrying the propane tank we can now smoothly glide along and roast weeds that germinate before our carrots and other crops for a jump on the weeding tasks!

Pretty excited to be offering our plants at both the LFI Revelstoke Farmers Market 8-1pm and the Grindrod Garden Sale tomorrow from 9-2pm at Farmer John's in Grindrod! Come find us in either location to stock up on your garden goodies, we have a huge selection to shop.

PLANT SALE ALERT: The Grindrod Garden Sale is happening this Saturday May 9th from 9-2pm at Farmer John's Market in Grindrod!
The awesome local vendors are Twig Creek Farm, , Black Diamond Soil, and ourselves, with offerings to include transplants of a variety of flowers, peppers, tomatoes, assorted veggies, dahlia tubers, tulip and narcissus pots, garden planters, and bagged soil to get them all off to a great start. will have many goodies inside their store including cafe treats, local crafts, and delicious ice cream as the weather looks to be balmy!
And if all that wasn't enough of a draw to our little ol' town, the Grindrod Rec Association is having a pancake breakfast at the hall from 8-10am and also a trunk sale where you can browse a pop-up sale of interesting wares.

Duck eggs are abundant this time of year, with the girls busily building nests and laying lots of eggs. We have 25 female Muscovy ducks that are living their best lives, hunting for slugs at dusk, flying around, and having a sitz bath in recycled veggie wash water. Try these out, there are lots of benefits including how large they are in comparison to chicken eggs, and the taste is pretty similar!
