It’s Sydney Craft Week, and I’ll be a part of this Saturday’s events with Makers Frontyard Trail. With makers all over the Inner West displaying their work, I am sharing a space with Virginia Mawer Handmade and Plushka Design Studio on Wetherill St, Leichhardt. We are 3 very different makers - come and check out upcycled clothes/jewellery/zipper pouches/makeup wipes and more (from me), Christmas decorations and fabric Christmas gift bags (from Virginia) and hand stitched felt play food and educational toys (from Katia)

Some of the fabric samples that I picked yesterday re_place_inner_west in Summer Hill. What colours! It’s places like these that rescue textiles, where I gather my materials to make things and keep stuff out of landfill. Thank you Re-Place!

Do you love bright pops of colour and the warmth of wools and threads? Me too. I sold my last spiral brooch on the weekend, and so I have begun to wind these beautiful hues around and around to make more. All wool and thread are reclaimed, each brooch is different. My next market date will be at Artisans in the Park Sydney at Tramsheds on September 5. I’ll have loads of brooches and other goodies on the day.
