Your favourite Italian dessert just got a Soulistic twist!
I followed a pretty traditional tiramisu recipe but added Soulistic into the cream, coffee and sprinkled it on top. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
Prep time: 20 minutes
Setting time: 4–6 hours (overnight is best!)
Serves: 6–8
Ingredients
* 250g mascarpone cheese
* 3 eggs, separated
* 75g caster sugar
* 200g ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
* 1 cup strong coffee, cooled (although mine was not cold)
* 2 tbsp Soulistic for the cream
* 1 tsp Soulistic for the coffee
* Extra Soulistic for dusting
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
1. Make your cream
Separate your eggs and whisk the yolks with the sugar until pale and creamy. Add your mascarpone, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of Soulistic, mixing until smooth.
2. Make it fluffy
In a separate bowl, whisk your egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold them into your mascarpone mixture.
3. Prepare your coffee
Brew a cup of coffee and allow it to cool. Whisk in 1 teaspoon of Soulistic until combined.
4. Start layering
Dip your ladyfinger biscuits into the coffee mixture and arrange them in the bottom of a dish. Spread half your mascarpone cream over the top.
Repeat with another layer of coffee & Soulistic-soaked biscuits and finish with the remaining cream.
5. Let it set
Pop your tiramisu in the fridge for at least 4–6 hours, overnight is even better!
6. The finishing touch
Just before serving, generously dust the top with Soulistic.
& voilla! You’ve just snuck bone broth into your tiramisu 😉
