With this beautiful rain some of the crops are really starting to power on.
Remember the farm stall is closed this Saturday while I have a quick trip away for a few days.

A massive shout out to Cindy who will be taking over the seed sowing and seedling shed while I am away so all the progression crops seed sowing will continue.
I have so many amazing friends that help me grow this not so little veggie venture.
A quick heads up for the Farm Stall on the 31st , hand picked beans, zucchini and amazing looking spring onions will be on the table.

What a morning, again you lined up and waited for the gates to open and then made the rush through the rain to the cover of the leaking gazebo.
Thank you for coming out in the wet and trudging in the puddles and mud.
Totally blown away as I was not expecting so many people to come today so thank you so much.
The stall next Saturday 24th will be closed.
We will be back with more of my spray free produce on Saturday the 31st.

The Zucchini plants are starting to produce and I’m pretty chuffed at the results.
Queensland fruit fly damage was minimal which is great.
But the odd damaged fruit like this one. It looks perfect but I spotted the sting mark.
The fruit gets bagged, sealed and binned.

My fruit fly control measures seem to be working at the moment.

Tomorrow my Spray Free Farm Stall will be open, rain or sunshine I’ll be there.

The chance or rain and some clouds are high but the bonus is that will keep all the fresh picked produce looking even fresher.

But the avocado orders I pack tonight and they will be ready to collect in the morning.
Also I’ll have lettuce, lettuce mix, containers of Just Cos, broccoli florets, radish, kale and more.

Glass House Tropical Fruits will have pick your beautiful Sunflowers 🌻 and also pre picked flowers ready for sale.

The Zucchini’s are starting.
In couple weeks I should have a good supply rolling onto the farm stall tables.
To help combat the Queensland Fruit Fly I am using the Organic Crop Protectants Eco-lure Fruit fly traps.
Yates also have a product called Natures Way Fruit Fly Control which is registered organic garden product which I am also using.

Queensland fruit fly through the warmer months is a massive issue.
Other crops I will also combating the fruit fly with is Capsicum, squash, cucumbers, pumpkin, watermelon, rockmelons and the Roma tomatoes.
This farming gig isn’t easy and the costs involved to control and reduce the impact of the Qld Fruit fly don’t come cheap.
