Summit View Eggs - Petro Farms

🥚💛 Happy World Egg Day from Summit View Eggs – PETRO FARMS! 💛🐔

Today we’re celebrating something that’s a big part of our everyday life here on the farm — our beautiful girls and the eggs they work so hard to give us! 🐔🥚

Being a small, family-run business, we feel incredibly lucky to do what we do.
From caring for our girls to collecting, grading and packing our eggs, there’s a whole lot of love, hard work and early mornings that go into every carton that leaves our farm. 🌱☀️

We’re so proud to be able to bring everyone fresh, pasture-grazed eggs from our farm to your table, and we wouldn’t be here without the amazing support of our customers and local community.

Every carton you buy, every order you place and every kind word or recommendation means more to our little family business than you could imagine. 🥰🥚

So today, we’re raising a carton (or maybe a few dozen! 😂🥚) to our girls, our customers and the wonderful people who support local farmers!

Thank you for being part of our journey and choosing to support a small, family-run farm. And the best eggs money can buy!

It truly means the world to us! 💛

Well, this is a first for us! 😱🥚🥚

We’ve cracked plenty of eggs over the years, but we’ve NEVER had an egg inside an egg! 😂

Looks like one of our girls decided to go above and beyond with this one! 🐔🤣

Has anyone else ever found one like this? 👀🥚

Definitely one for the farm storybook! 🐔

🐾🎂 Happy 2nd Birthday to Rex! 🎂🐾

Two years old today and still absolutely convinced that “sit” means “sit… while I wave my paw directly in your face.” 🐾🤣

Rex has perfected the art of looking innocent while causing maximum chaos. Big paws, big personality, and absolutely zero regrets! 😂

Happy birthday, Rexy boy! ❤️🐶

🥚🐔The new girls are starting to lay! 🐔🥚

We’re starting to see those first little pullet eggs coming through, and it won’t be long before they’re available for sale!

Small, fresh and full of personality — just like the girls who laid them! 🥰🐔🥚

Keep an eye out for these little nutrient packed bum nuts available soon!

😂 When the hens clearly forgot to discuss the standard egg size before clocking on for the day! 🥚🐔

From "Is that an egg or a marble?" to "That one needs its own egg carton!"🤣

And we’ve had much bigger as some customers would know, but this what was on the belt today!

This is a fantastic write-up by a fellow
Australian egg farmer and it's well worth taking a few minutes to read.

It explains the challenges facing our pasture-raised egg industry with the threat of H5N1, and why so many small family farms are feeling uncertain about the future.
It's not about creating fear-it's about helping people understand what's at stake.

Whether you're a farmer or simply someone who values genuinely pasture-raised eggs, I encourage you to have a read.
Understanding what producers are facing helps us all make more informed choices.

Please take the time to read and, if it resonates with you, consider sharing it too. 🥚🐔

If we used this many eggs today for a Saturday breakfast what is Sunday going to be like? 😨

🐔 We still have plenty of our 2nd Year Hy-Line Layer Hens available! 🥚

📅 Next date for pick up will be this Saturday 27th of June, other days can be arranged just ask.

These lovely girls are looking for new homes and still have plenty to offer!
They are currently moulting atm, so will have missing feathers, but don't worry, once their new feathers come through, they'll look looking beautiful and refreshed again!

If you'd like to reserve some hens, please send me a PM, via the page.

🌱🐔 Nothing beats seeing our girls doing what they do best especially with the sunny couple days we have finally got here on the Granitbelt, roaming on fresh green grass, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying plenty of space to scratch and forage.

Every egg here at Summit View Eggs, starts here with fresh air, open paddocks, and hens that are free to roam all day every day!
These girls work hard, and we’re proud to give them the best life possible and at the same time maintaining the best and freshest eggs possible 🥚 🐔
