New beds are in 🎉 This more than doubles our capacity for the growing season. While municipal compost has successfully grown us some delicious veggies, its fine texture makes it practically hydrophobic. Although tempting to spray a soil wetter, adding our home made compost as mulch is our solution. The varied texture of the home made compost has the added benefit of providing a home for beneficial insects to quickly move in and hopefully assist in battling pesky mites and aphids.

New business idea: a gym but all the weights are beetroot

The world record for beetroot is something like 23kg, this gym could really work?

The longest beetroot is 8.5m long so that’s the barbells sorted too.

It’d be like the whole is it cake thing, except is it beetroot. Follow along to see if I turn purple after eating these.
