So today this happened. …….

I harvested my own almonds 😁

They’re into their 5th year and the last 2 years I’ve had flowers but no nuts. But not this year!!!

Only a small bowl of almonds, but I feel so appreciative to live in a country that can grow food YEAR ROUND! ❤️

I’m often sending videos and photos to my gardening friends back in Canada and most replies are along the lines of “I can’t believe you’re growing stuff in Winter” or “oh man, I can’t grow that, the seasons too short here”.

I find it strange how many people don’t grow something here, because it’s so easy to do it here.

When you knowledge yourself with world perspective, you can respect the earth more and all its wonders, and any reason holding you back from changing your habits…….all fall away.

So thankful to be able to have a garden full of trees, flowers, veggies and fruit. ❤️

Thank you land, I marvel at you everyday.

So I hate when things start falling apart. I wish everything would last forever.

With that not being realistic in this world we currently live in, we can at least try to prolong the life of things.

I’m a huge fan of upcycling and reusing…..surprise surprise right 😜

So for the last while my favourite grocery bag has been falling apart inside. It finally was the time last night to do something about it!

I fished through scrap materials I had and pulled out the sewing machine 🧵 🪡

An hour…..or 2 🤔…….I’m now sporting a new and improved bag. It’s actually feeling way sturdier then before 👏🏻

I’m in love with it. Yay for more colour in my life.

My jars will now be happy for many more years in this bag

Is there something at home you’re planning to through away that could be reused or upcycled?

The bonus is that you’ll never have the same thing as anyone else every again 😂
